We have made it through the "Blizzard of 2009" in Oklahoma, made it through 3 family Christmases (one got canceled due to the blizzard), returned a dog we found to their owners, and made it home in time to unpack and enjoy a fire. Yes, there is much more to blog about and many pics to post but it will have to wait. I have to be to work at 7:30 in the morning!
Blessed am I and thankful for all that I have.

Happy Birthday Times 3!
Lots to catch up on! We celebrated Rusty's birthday at Jalisco's with a few friends. Here are Melesia and Wanda from work. Wanda, Wanda, Wanda and her Rusty. :o)
Reading a card from one of our dear friends.
Results of Jalisco's awesome Margarita's!
This is kind of how I felt the next day too Bubba!
Rusty and I went to Salina this past Saturday to get some minor shopping done. The next day we traveled to Manhattan to celebrate Grandma Claribel's 100th birthday. You would not believe the spunk she has, and the sense of humor to boot! She got heckled so much for not smiling! Anytime she would smile she would put her head down. We sure do love her. We got her a puzzle made from one of the pictures of her, her husband, and the four kiddos for her Christmas/birthday. She is such an awesome woman.
On the way home from Manhattan we stopped in Junction City for a drink at McDonalds. We were headed to the drive thru when I heard Rusty say "no little guy, you just stay there." Come to find out there was a little dog following our car through the drive thru. Well, he was on Rusty's side and I couldn't see him so I opened my door to see if he'd come to my side. Now, you all know that a dog will not come to an open door or jump in a car he doesn't know. Not this little shit. Jumped right in and made himself at home. I left the door propped open as we went through the drive thru. We saw some people at the gas station next to McDonalds just hanging out. They looked like they had been standing there for a while so we pulled up and asked them. One of the guys said he had seen this dog over at a restaurant earlier (pretty far away). Ok, assumption is it's a stray. You probably know how this goes.
Now Rusty will have you believe that this is ALL my fault. People, I have been told no SEVERAL times when it comes to stray dogs and this one was never said ANYTHING about. Not once did I hear a no. Rusty is just as much to blame as I and Rusty is the one that keeps commenting on this cute face. He was asleep on my belly before we got onto the interstate from the entrance ramp.
Went to bed that night to find Rusty in bed with the little shit.................
The next morning before work.
This little man has some LONG legs!
This little guy has fit in well here.
Marley is still not quite sure. She did get a little "frisky" with him earlier. He would love to chase and play. They'll get there maybe. I have sent e-mails to the animal shelter and the humane society in Junction City in case someone is missing their baby. I have already heard back from one that they will pass the word on. I wouldn't want to be worrying about mine this close to Christmas. Either way, he's in good hands for now! Check out these sexy long legs! We call him several different things but it's Mister (pronounced Meester) in this video. And, yes, I talk in silly little voices to my animals!

It's a blog.......I thought.
So, I had brought the computer to bed to blog and decided I have way too many pics to upload and it would take too long........so you are gonna have to wait! We had a long weekend (some shopping, Grandma Claribel's 100th birthday celebration, a stray dog) and a long week ahead!
I hope to blog before Christmas day!

Up Next...........
I have a birthday blog coming up! Stay tuned.............but not for too long. It may be a day or two! LOL
Today kicked my arse as we only had two techs there. I actually kind of liked it because it was nothing but work. NO time to take a bathroom break, sit and make personal phone calls, check cell phones, and so forth. It was NICE!!! Except for the whole bathroom break part.
So, I'm a sleepy girl who's gonna go get her beauty sleep! Lord knows I need it!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow......More Please!
We have gotten the most beautiful snow. I didn't even mind driving in it a little earlier today. I knew my hubby would come bail me out if needed. We got pretty close to 12 inches I believe and now the wind is blowing like crazy creating super duper drifts outside. We closed our office at noon today and the university is actually closed tomorrow and they NEVER close! Enjoy the pics. They aren't near as beautiful as the real thing! It's a soft powdery snow.....the best!
Here is Marley on our ride today. She was asking to hang her head out and catch some snowflakes on her tongue.
Ask and you shall receive my dear! The cold air even felt good.
Here is one view down Vine Street. I don't know if the city just didn't do a very good job or it was so hard to keep up. I know Rusty cleared the drive several times today and you can't even tell now. I believe at one point we were getting one inch per hour!
Marley telling us that she will NOT go pee in that snow and Bubba asking to go outside....even though we know he doesn't really want to!
The view out front. Can't wait to paint the house this next year!
I love this tree with the snow on it. Glad we didn't cut it down!!!
Here is a look outside the third floor at our office.
My "Let It Snow" flag flying in support!
Here is the pee pee trail we made for Marley around 6:30 tonight. She still wouldn't use it and now it doesn't even exist anymore. It's snowing that much!
Marley following daddy around.
We have enjoyed the views today. It has been absolutely beautiful and we are STILL thankful we chose to move to Hays, Kansas! Every day we are thankful for that decision.
There are more pics on my facebook if you are able to access them!
Here's to as much snow as we can possibly get because I LOVE IT!!!

Nada
That's what I'm doing tonight...........nada, nuthin', zero, zilch. It's about damn time!
I was down and out Saturday night after a full day of working! It has been super busy and that's a good thing. It is so nice to have people "know" who I am. It's like having a whole bunch of friends you never knew about and they are always excited to see me! It's kinda funny. They act like they know me already! I am just glad to have a night off tonight to enjoy the couch and the snow outside. Bring it on down! The 9-13 inches of snow that they are calling for is welcome at the Winsett household!

A Quickie.......
I find it interesting that you can search "tara winsett blog" and find my blog that way. That's how it was reported after someone coming to my blog from a certain town searched that way. Pretty nifty that Feedjit is! I can see when, where, and how many times. Really interesting when other countries happen upon it!
That's it! I am pooper-doopered and hitting the hay!

Ta Da! A Blog!
Are you guys ready for some pictures? Man, it's been a blog in progress! Here's an updated picture of the author....ME! lol
We got a little snow here not too long ago. It didn't last long but we had some HUGE flakes coming down!
As I may have mentioned before, Garrett popcorn (Chicago) is my FAVORITE caramel popcorn. I always ask for some for Christmas but it's too expensive. Thankfully we got a small container of it at work from another office. No, I didn't eat it all!!
Here's how Bubba looks out of the blinds when we close them earlier than he would like!
I didn't have any pics of Marley Sue so I threw this one in. She LOVES her (MY) North Woods Throw!
Bubba curled up in his little house. He has been using it more lately, I guess because of the cold.
The scene of Thanksgiving...........table of food and football! I made a roast with potatoes and carrots, candied yams, green beans, dressing, deviled eggs, rice, and rolls. Rusty was a happy man!
Apple and pumpkin pies.
Jen came home from Colorado and us girls got together for Chinese!!! We had lots of fun! I love my girls. Leigh, Jen and me..............
Just in case you didn't know about my degree............................this is nice..........
Bubba LOVES the Christmas tree! I don't know if it's the "velvet" like skirt, the warmth of the lights, or both! If I can't find him, that's the next place to look.
Dad and Les brought up their old king headboard (dad's actually). It looks REALLY good in the bedroom! Just need some different curtains to look better. Les mentioned something about a matching chest of drawers so maybe some time we will acquire that and have a complete matching set!
Here's our Christmas tree. We went with blue and silver this year.
The new light dad and Les bought for us to go above the sink. Guess I failed to mention that they came up the weekend before Thanksgiving and spent some time and did a little Christmas shopping for us since we don't know if we are going back down there or not. I love the way the light brightens up the counter.
Here is a reminder of what the bathroom looked like when we moved in.
Here it is now almost completely done. I have some Private Quarters rugs coming and I also need to do some more wall stuff. Dad and Les also bought the floral bunches above the mirrors. I arranged them and added the bows. I thought they turned out pretty good!
Another before picture.
And another after. I LOVE the Upper Case Living frame I made hanging on the wall. It was originally meant for the bedroom but I think I will get something different there.
Tonight we watched Claudine and Eli while Becca got her hair cut. We had a good old time. They really liked my Tigger "peek a boo" box!
Especially Eli!
We watched the Witch movie too!
Eli..........such a happy boy. I did change a very stinky, poopy, diaper. Rusty was nice and helped hold the legs!!! Proud of my man!
So that's the last week or so in review!! I closed out the month of November with AWESOME sales for my business and have several parties coming up for December.
Ready or not..........Christmas is on its way!

Tooth, anyone?
It's been a while so here I am. I keep seeing the same locations reading my blog and figure they must be ready for a new one!
This last week was a good week I'd say. On Thursday I had to have a tooth pulled so I prepared by taking off of work on Friday. Let me explain why. The last time I had a tooth pulled (the one located directly below this one at the very back of the mouth) I had to go to an oral surgeon because it was so far down into the jaw bone. I have very long roots on my teeth. Well, this surgeon did give me nitrous but it wasn't working. I am (was) too nice to say anything so lets just say I remember EVERY bit of it. He couldn't get the tooth out. He jerked, pulled, jerked some more. I am not kidding, he was jerking my head up off the head rest. He ended up breaking the tooth out in little pieces. I had prepared to go to work the day after and had to call in. Based off of that experience, I felt better about being prepared to not be at work rather than calling in and being badmouthed and looked down upon. I guess it happened anyway, but that's the way it goes around there. This tooth pulling went well. He did have a little trouble pulling it out and I could hear it internally when it was coming out. *gross* He did comment on how long the roots were and even showed me. They are long, that's for sure. I felt pretty good all evening just really tired. I woke up with a terrible headache and some jaw pain. I was very glad to be able to rest at home and not be doing a lot of talking and so forth. My health is more important than others satisfaction. I have been struggling today with pain and irritation but I did have a tooth pulled for goodness sakes. lol
Saturday morning my dad and his wife came up to visit. We had a nice visit and they really liked the house. Dad commented several times on it which was nice. He forgot to take pictures though! They brought some of our Christmas gifts just in case we didn't come back to Chickasha. It's difficult to call it home, because for us this is home. I don't know if my father hates a place on Earth more than Hays, Kansas! Les and I also went and got a few more Christmas gifts for the house. Nothing major. We did have a nice visit though.
Today was a nice nap day and lots of reading for me. We watched a movie, which cut into my reading time! I am reading Stephen Kings new book "Under The Dome" and it is great. I love his books because they suck you in from the very beginning. I can see this one being a movie if they get it in the right hands and don't let them screw it up. Most of his books that go to movies get screwed up. Four that didn't were Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, The Green Mile, and Apt Pupil. There are a few more but they did a GREAT job with these! "It" was a great movie too but I hated the ending! Enough about that.
Not much else right now. Not feeling that great so I think I'll get off of here and read a bit. I also have some decorative things I may work on for my bathroom. I worked on it earlier in the week (before the tooth pulling) and have just a bit more to do. I'll post pictures when I mostly done!
Here's to a great weekend and a wonderful SHORT week ahead. Not so sure about the trip to Ness City for a party Tuesday night but I'm trying to get this business to take off so maybe I can make some lifestyle changes.
Stephen, darling, here I come!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Oh how I love the winter months with snow and a fireplace!Rusty said he knows this is his little girl because she likes the fireplace. Every time we have a fire she goes and lays in front of it. When it starts to die down she goes to the recliner. After Rusty turns the logs and it perks back up she is right there! I love my Sundays....sitting in the recliner, football, just relaxing! I have sooo much I want to do here at the house but I have been so busy with parties and all it was nice! I am having guests this weekend (Dad and Les) so this week I will have to get busy!
Here is Marley's cute little shirt I got at Target when Becca and I went to Salina last weekend to shop! She is a spoiled little princess. That must make me the spoiled Queen! LOL I think most people use a word that starts with a "B" and that's ok. The truth is the truth! At least I can admit it. Mom always said I learned from the best. This video is kinda sucky but you can see the snow falling at the street light. The ground is already covered too but it has slowed now. We were supposed to get 3-5 inches by morning so we'll see. Now, for the funniest part of this video..........I opened the door and just stuck my camera out to video. Came back in and sat for a bit and took care of some things. Rusty went to the living room and there was a cat looking in the window. He asked where Bubba was and I said he was in the house. I felt bad thinking it was a lost cat looking for a warm house and was about to open the door when Rusty said to turn on the porch light first. The cat was meowing and when I turned on the light it looked a helluva lot like Keiko! Son of a bitch, my cat ran out the front door when I videoed and had been out in the snow for a while. I am lucky he came home and it wasn't nice out because he'd still be prowling! What a horrible momma I am. Rusty said no kids for us after that stunt!!! LOL
Poor Bubba!

Busy
The busy time is starting back up. I have two parties this weekend, two parties open right now, and one I am trying to close right now. I am super happy at the income and bonus checks though!
That's it. Super tired and tomorrow looks grim. Had a doctor's appointment for the am and it looks like I just may have to cancel since there may only be two there tomorrow with 2 docs in. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get to go. Such is life!

Decisions, Decisions
Life would be so much simpler if you were just set on your course with everything lined out. Maybe that's how it is and we are on the path we are supposed to be? Also, what if we didn't like that path that we were given? We wouldn't be able to change it. So, it's a toss up. Choose your path or live a chosen one? I just want an easier one. However, my current worries/concerns are of my own doing. So, apparently I am living the "chosen" path.
I did a good deed today. I was on my way home from work and a small box fell from a truck that turned at a four way stop. The guy right next to the box just looked at it and kept going. Brave soul me turned on my flashers and hopped out on 27th and Indian Trail during rush hour home to see if I could get it back to it's owner. After trying to re-locate the vehicle I noticed there was a number on the box. Luckily the order form had been taped to the outside. I got the box back to its rightful owner with no damage done. Go me.
That's it. Gonna get another party closed out tonight! Woo Hoo!! If you are gonna be around this weekend come to Victoria's Knight's of Columbus Hall from 10-3 on Saturday for their Craft/Christmas Fair. Lots of great vendors like Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Premier Jewelry, Purses, and Private Quarters!!!

*Yawn* ........A quickie!
This was the sunrise one morning on the way to work. It was a foggy morning and was beautiful! It was obviously before DST since it was still dark!Bubba thinks the garage is the "cat's meow" for some reason. Here he is crawling down off of my car! We try not to let him out there but he sure tries!
This weekend was great! Becca and I went to Salina Saturday so she could get some Christmas shopping done. We had a great time shopping and lunch at Martinelli's, which is my favorite Italian restaurant. We got home and I couldn't wait to put my aching feet up! Rusty got called out to Damar so I rode with him. When we got home Rick and Renee invited us to go see a movie with them. We had JUST finished saying how we needed to go see them so I put my aching feet on the back burner and we went to see "Paranormal Activity". It was "okay". Blair Witch kind of already took the whole "make you think this is real and scare the crap out of you movie". The last 30 minutes of the movie are the best. I didn't lose any sleep either. Now, if I was one of those poor folks who think it's real.............I'd still be awake from Saturday night! LOL
Today was a good day. My back had hurt so bad yesterday and I was a little worried. I swear by the Shoulder Wrap that Private Quarters sells for sore/tense neck and shoulders. I hadn't woke up that relaxed in a long time. I used it in bed while watching tv and then went to sleep on my Private Quarters pillows I'm testing. I am so happy with everything I have ordered from them. All except the deluxe towels and they don't sell them anymore! I truly mean it when I say I love my bed!!!
Speaking of which..........it was a long day and I'm ready to head that way. I went in at 7:45 and was supposed to get off at 4:45 and didn't get to leave until 6:00!!! I'll take the hours!

Speaking of which..........it was a long day and I'm ready to head that way. I went in at 7:45 and was supposed to get off at 4:45 and didn't get to leave until 6:00!!! I'll take the hours!

Just An Average Joe
Yep, I'm still here! We have been super busy lately (again, as always) so blogging has taken the way side. In fact, I am looking at letting the computer take the way side as a whole for a few days but I have to get on here to place my orders for PQ which leads to e-mail and facebook. I am definitely thankful for the PQ orders though! I have been super busy with the business and it is great! If that was my ONLY job that would be great but that is a little unlikely right now.
Last night Becca and I drove around and had a good old bitch session which was much needed on my part AND hers! It was fun. Did it solve anything? Nope, but it sure made us feel better! Looking forward to our trip to Salina this Saturday for some Christmas shopping. More shopping for her and mostly window shopping for me. Either way, I get to eat Martinelli's with a great friend and that's what counts!
I'm exhausted from my party tonight.
Sleep tight!`

Some Updating
Well, here is an update from the last couple of weeks. Wedding in Pennsylvania.........
Yes, that is my HANDSOME hubby!! He looked super nice in his tuxedo!
And here we are. This is NOT the outfit I spent 3 hours trying to find...this is the one that has been hanging in my closet. I must say the skirt came in handy! ;o)Michael and his wife, Lindsay, posing outside. Absolutely beautiful!
My two roses I found waiting for me in the car the morning we left to finally arrive at home. That day was two years smoke free for me and Rusty got up extra early and went and got these for me! He said when I reach over 30 years the flower may change. Nope, I want roses!!! LOL Better yet, stargazer lillies! I love you babe!
Picture of my rose that I took. Yes, we were driving in a car. Kinda got bored!!
We went to Oklahoma this weekend. Rusty wasn't going to go with me but then thought that a weekend spent just with Mom and Daryl would be nice since no one would no he was there. He did end up having lunch with his dad and step-mom but was back in time for the game and relaxation with the Cornfords! We loved our weekends with them and we don't get those relaxing weekends with just them since we moved. I miss my momma time. We didn't get to go to Dustee's due to time but I have to go to Wichita next week so I might see if I can grab one there!
Daddy and Marley hanging out at moms just before heading home. The part I REALLY hate.
Here's Marley and Keiko hanging out on the back of the couch looking out the window.
That's it folks. I have been super busy with my business which is picking up. I am super pumped about that!!!! People really don't know what they are missing out on!
Things at work seem to be looking up. Changes can be bad or good. We shall see! Can't get much worse can it? Ha There is always room for improvement.
Oh! My best gal Becca has planned a day trip to Salina with ME! Can't wait to go shopping and stuff our faces at Martinelli's!!! It is gonna be so much FUN!
