Well, this blog is going to be completely out of order but hey....it's a blog.

Apparently this is my Christmas blog too? I don't remember. Anyway, it's backwards so here goes.

Rusty and I at Becca's with Geralyn. I sure am enjoying seeing them every chance I get!!

Now, the following pictures have a LONG story that goes with them but we will skip it. Let's just say I am not too thrilled but it is what it is. This is Sadie, formerly known as Suki. She was hand delivered to our door, not by our wishes. Anywho, she is a 7 month old Italian Greyhound. She is pretty skittish but is coming around. She definitely loves playing with Keiko and she is not quite sure what to do with those long legs of hers. She is definitely not the type of cuddly, furry dog I am used to. In fact, she looked quite alien like at first.

Here's a cute close-up.

Sadie using those long legs of hers.

Jen came to visit and we enjoyed our favorite Chinese together again! Georgia and Kendall joined us but they aren't my children to post pictures of so I'll leave that one off!

We had a heavy, heavy frost on the morning of the 12th. The ONLY reason I remember the date is because it is the day that both Rusty and I took off work and spent gas money to drive to Wichita for my appointment with my neurosurgeon and they had changed my appointment and did not CALL me! I was so mad I cried!!!! Luckily I didn't do the alternative that I grew up to learn which was make a complete ass out of myself by yelling and causing a scene. I at least waited until I was out of the building before the tears of anger came. Anyway, here's a pic of Rusty and the frost. Well, actually, he was dropping some travel bugs on the way down and I had him pose.

Another picture. This does not do it justice.

The fog was so thick you were able to look at the sun at some points. I love when I can do that. Beats getting out the solar shades!

This was Christmas Eve at moms in Moore. The snow drift in front of their door was taller than me! That is me holding my hood up over my head. They got almost 14 inches of snow.

Here's Rusty chillin' at moms with Mister and Marley. We sure do miss him!

This is Mister and I right before his owner's boyfriend picked him up. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

He's a good little guy and I'm glad he got to spend Christmas with people who LOVE dogs!

Just a Little Diddy

I know I still need to upload pics from Christmas and do that whole blog, but I'm going to put it off a little longer.

Here lately..................

We returned Mister to his owners and I am still struggling with that. Especially when the lady at the shelter wonders if she "did the right thing by calling them". HER words people. Great. We got really attached to him as you will see in the pictures I post from Christmas. Rusty even offered to go the local shelter here in town and adopt if I really wanted to. Very, very sweet of him.

Several months back I posted a blog about being deserving of things. How some who don't want get, some who don't need get, those who are really selfish and conceited about it get, and those who really want can't get. Well, I am happy to report that my friend "S" is due in May!! So, so, so happy for her! And you think it's all about me. ;o)

Rusty and I had a great New Years. We went to eat Chinese, went to Wal-Mart for some much needed staple items, and then home to play games and watch TV. We had sparkling grape juice at midnight and then at 12:05 we finally went to bed! Yep, party animals we are.

That's about the extent of it, in a nutshell that is. Of course there is the whole blizzard in Oklahoma and Christmas to post about but I'm going to let it wait. I really do have things to take care of around the house...............if I'll just get up and do them. Later.

Another One Bites The Dust

We have made it through the "Blizzard of 2009" in Oklahoma, made it through 3 family Christmases (one got canceled due to the blizzard), returned a dog we found to their owners, and made it home in time to unpack and enjoy a fire. Yes, there is much more to blog about and many pics to post but it will have to wait. I have to be to work at 7:30 in the morning!

Blessed am I and thankful for all that I have.

Happy Birthday Times 3!

Lots to catch up on! We celebrated Rusty's birthday at Jalisco's with a few friends. Here are Melesia and Wanda from work. Wanda, Wanda, Wanda and her Rusty. :o)

Reading a card from one of our dear friends.

Results of Jalisco's awesome Margarita's!

This is kind of how I felt the next day too Bubba!

Rusty and I went to Salina this past Saturday to get some minor shopping done. The next day we traveled to Manhattan to celebrate Grandma Claribel's 100th birthday. You would not believe the spunk she has, and the sense of humor to boot! She got heckled so much for not smiling! Anytime she would smile she would put her head down. We sure do love her. We got her a puzzle made from one of the pictures of her, her husband, and the four kiddos for her Christmas/birthday. She is such an awesome woman.

On the way home from Manhattan we stopped in Junction City for a drink at McDonalds. We were headed to the drive thru when I heard Rusty say "no little guy, you just stay there." Come to find out there was a little dog following our car through the drive thru. Well, he was on Rusty's side and I couldn't see him so I opened my door to see if he'd come to my side. Now, you all know that a dog will not come to an open door or jump in a car he doesn't know. Not this little shit. Jumped right in and made himself at home. I left the door propped open as we went through the drive thru. We saw some people at the gas station next to McDonalds just hanging out. They looked like they had been standing there for a while so we pulled up and asked them. One of the guys said he had seen this dog over at a restaurant earlier (pretty far away). Ok, assumption is it's a stray. You probably know how this goes.

Now Rusty will have you believe that this is ALL my fault. People, I have been told no SEVERAL times when it comes to stray dogs and this one was never said ANYTHING about. Not once did I hear a no. Rusty is just as much to blame as I and Rusty is the one that keeps commenting on this cute face. He was asleep on my belly before we got onto the interstate from the entrance ramp.

Went to bed that night to find Rusty in bed with the little shit.................

The next morning before work.

This little man has some LONG legs!

This little guy has fit in well here.

Marley is still not quite sure. She did get a little "frisky" with him earlier. He would love to chase and play. They'll get there maybe. I have sent e-mails to the animal shelter and the humane society in Junction City in case someone is missing their baby. I have already heard back from one that they will pass the word on. I wouldn't want to be worrying about mine this close to Christmas. Either way, he's in good hands for now! Check out these sexy long legs! We call him several different things but it's Mister (pronounced Meester) in this video. And, yes, I talk in silly little voices to my animals!
