Just Keepin' It Real

Again, I have absolutely nothing to discuss but apparently people like to read this so I will post something.

We have been watching the Olympics and I love, love, love Apolo Anton Ohno!  Yay Shani!  I can't BELIEVE they showed the video of the luge player that had the tragic accident.  Curling is always one of my favorites, as is figure skating.  Rusty made an interesting point the other night.  Nude figure skating would NOT be cool! Think about it!  Well, men might like it.

Everything else is going great.  I am still super excited about my new job.  Training is going great and I am ready to start actually working!  The environment, professionalism and technology is just so amazing.  I know, I know....I have mentioned it several times before.  I am just so pleased!  I consider myself very blessed and fortunate to be where I am.  I am also really enjoying getting dressed up for work again.  Putting on scrubs each morning made it too easy to want to just pull your hair up and not "look nice".  I tried to always look together because I didn't want to be one of those who sometimes came in looking like they had just crawled out of bed and showed up.  That's my point, when you actually care and put forth effort.

Have I gritched enough? lol 

The weather today was beautiful.  Sounds like tomorrow will go right back to winter.  I am glad we don't get the ice here like they do where I used to live.  They have gotten it horrible this year!  Of course, winter isn't over so I'm keeping my fingers crossed the weather stays decent. Of course I am a firm believer that if it's going to be this damn cold it might as well be pretty out so LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW! Or.............let the sun shine and the temps warm up!

Lovin' It!

I had the following fortunes up at my last place of employment.  They had special meaning...........hence the new job!

 

Here is the 4 inches of snow I woke up to the first Monday I was in Wichita for a two day crash course in Property and Casualty licensing.  I scored really well.  It was a very stressful 3 days and my stomach was so upset! Glad to be back and get to training.  Also happy to report that I am a licensed insurance agent now! Everything about this job is great.  I am pleased beyond belief with my decision.  Such a great company to work with. Plus, who can argue with a raise in  one week!?!?!?

Here is my Valentine's Day gift from my daddy.  The chocolate's are from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and are delicious.  The roses (a whole dozen!) are beautiful and smell wonderful!  I'm a daddy's girl for sure!

Not much else to report.  I am just happy, happy and glad to be myself again!

I Should

I really should blog! This last week completely wore me out.....all day class for two days and testing the very next am.  Of course, I passed, with above average scoring! My stomach was tore up for three days straight, but it's better now. I am just completely mentally exhausted and ready for bed!

Well.......

There's not much to blog about.  There's always something, but I guess I just don't feel like it?  Every time I hit my apostrophe button I hit on Sadie's ear, the flappy thin tip.  Rather weird feeling.

Yesterday I was invited to lunch with two ladies at the office.  We decided to go today and went to Guiterrez.  What was going to be a small gathering ended up being 8 other co-workers plus me!  We had a great time and they all got to hear the famous "story" of how we came back to Hays.  I guess one of the bosses made a hoopla about it.  It's is pretty funny though.  Either way, I'm glad it brought us here!

Rusty got called out this evening while I was learning some co-worker office locations and he brought back Freddy's Frozen Custard.  Mmmmmmmm, but oh so bad!  Vanilla concrete with chocolate chips.

I am also completely amazed and PLEASED at how efficient they strive to be at my new place of employment.  The technology is amazing.  The training is very well thought out, planned and put into place.  The employees are very well taken care of.  I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the business.
