You Are My Sunshine

You are my Ryno, my sunshine, my bug, my toot, my love, my everything.  You love "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and wave your hands in front of you "washing the spider out" when you want Momma to sing it to you.  You love, love, love your Ellie and she is your sleeping buddy.  You absolutely will not go to sleep if you have a dirty diaper and are aware of it.  You love bread!  You love Graduates Little Crunchies (Garden Tomato, Veggie Dip and Cheese).  You weigh around 21 pounds and wear 12 months clothes even though they are a little wide for you.  You are a long one!  You go to bed roughly around 6:30 each night and sleep anywhere from 7 am to 9 am.  If you aren't over tired we can lay you down and you don't make a peep.  I love this about you.  I sing "You Are My Sunshine" to you each night before bed and "Good Morning Beautiful" (edited a bit) in the mornings.  You love to dance in your silly way, you sing and you light up my world.  I love you Ryne!  Happy First Birthday Sweetheart!!!  Now, it's almost that time (4:06 am).  Going to head into your room so I can be with you at the very moment my life gained meaning one year ago!  Oh I love you!!

Ryne's First Playdate

Today Ryne had his first official playdate.  It was so much fun and I'm not sure if I enjoyed it more than him! To sit and talk to another adult all while watching my son have fun.  I loved it!

It is so darn hot here and it makes it hard to get out.  I keep thinking there is something wrong with my AC in my car and then I realize that it just can't keep up!  Plus, in my new car the front two windows are not tinted and that has just been moved to the priority list!

In less than one week Ryne will be one year old.  I know, I know.  I keep saying it.  It is still just too soon.  I love how much growing he has done but I don't want him to be one already.  He will always be my baby, I don't care how old he is.  He'll ALWAYS be my baby boy, my bug-a-boo, my sunshine, my wonderful.

Gramma Day Turned Into Family Day

Tuesday is lunch with Gramma day.  Ryne and I go up to Moore and pick Gramma up from work for lunch then take her back and go hang out at her house.  Well, today we got to see Uncle Tommy, Aunt Tammy, Cousin Brad, Aunt Vicki and also Gramps of course.  Just Daddy was missing!  It was a good "family" day!

It was also a LATE day for my bug.  Didn't go to bed until around 8:30.  He got his second wind when we got home.  It allowed him some Daddy time so that's good!

P.S. ONE week from today my bug will be one year old.  I still just can not believe it!!!!!!!!

Hot, Hot, Hot

This time last year I was 37 or so weeks pregnant and boy was I hot.  I saw a girl in Wal-Mart two weeks ago who looked about 8 months along, in flip flops and had swollen ankles.  Oh, did I feel for her.  And I mean LITERALLY feel for her.  I don't think I will ever forget being pregnant in the summer of 2011; the hottest on record for Oklahoma.  In fact, I think the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy is one thing that keeps me perfectly content with one child.

Speaking of being hot, Ryne stays pretty cool in the Prius since it's so small but when we are in the Pacifica it is so hard for the air to circulate around to him.  Being a third row vehicle makes it a little difficult with all that extra space for the cool air to go.  I saw this at Wal-Mart and put it in the car today.  It works so well and will help redirect the air to him.  I'm sure he will get a kick out of watching it oscillate too.

Regardless of the heat, sometimes when Ryne sees his swing out the window he points and "eh's" to go out so we go anyway.  Only thing is that it faces the east so today I switched it to face the west.  The child loves to be outside and I can't wait for it to cool off a bit.

Well, guess I'll let this do.  Ryne and I are off to Gramma's tomorrow to have lunch with her.  Then we will go to her house and make Gramps a peach cobbler.  Yummy!  Then Aunt T and cousin Brad are gonna stop by.  Yay!

So...Lazy...Lately

So, I went and spent four days with my mother on the 16th.  We worked, and worked, and worked.  I helped her throw away/donate/store probably 12 or 13 large black trash bags full of stuff.  We cleaned out all closets and also the kitchen.  Something that's been needing to be done for a long time.  I was so worn out!  The last night I didn't go to bed until 1:00!  I think it has taken me a while to recuperate and even then my body is still down from it!  Either way, we did an amazing job!!!
That same week my bug went for his first ever haircut.  I am so very proud of him and so very blessed that he was so well behaved.  He loves pretty girls though!

Here's my first attempt at posting a video.  Don't mind the huge hick voice when I say mohawk!  Oh my......

That next weekend we ran down to Stratford to the Peach Festival with my mom and  her husband.  It was HOT and it was only 10:00 am!!!  We got some Pullen Peaches and they are stinking AMAZING!  I got a recipe for peach cobbler that was so dang simple off of the blog "How To Cook Like Your Grandmother".  This guys blog is amazing.  Ryne was a hot boy but he did great.  Here he is showing off his hillbilly tooth up top!

Let's see.  What else....oh!  I finally went and ordered Ryne's birthday cake today!  I was pleasantly surprised to find out the "smash cake" is free!  Woo hoo!  His birthday party theme is farm animals and I got the supplies from www.birthdayexpress.com and I am so pleased!  Next year I hope to make his cake as I plan on taking cake decorating classes.  I have always wanted to.  My Granny was a professional cake decorator.  Unfortunately, she was not able to make my wedding cake as that was usually her gift.  Her poor hands just couldn't take it any more.  So, in my books, no cake will ever be as good as Granny's but I sure hope to be able to decorate one as good as her one day!

I've just been lazy since the week at my moms.  I sure do want to do my own house in regards to the "throw shit away!" theme.  I say I've been lazy but Rusty says as long as the house is taken care of, Ryne is taken care of and laundry done he doesn't care!  I would have to admit that I do keep a clean/straightened up house.  I am amazed at how many people these days don't "dust".  I think it's because we have too much of that trinket "shit" I was talking about!!!  :o)

I'm sure there's more.  But...........the fact that I got this posted is amazing in itself.  Miss my friends....Renee, Becca, Staci and Aubrey.... something awful!  Believe me, when I can work it out financially I'll be up!  Rusty is even wanting to come so we may head up that way for a weekend soon.
