168 Days = 24 Weeks = 6 Months

Wow.  Six months down.  I remember thinking I wouldn't ever make it to that first appointment.  And here we are over half way there.  I have a uterus the size of a soccer ball in me right now and by the end of month 6, I will have a basketball in there.  Not to mention the little boy that likes to kick me way...down...low.  Thank you for all of that!

Only 8 pounds gained which is great so far.  The shape has held up and so far I haven't gotten wider, only moved forward.  Keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way.  Still a few problems with heartburn/indigestion but not much.  Just depends on what I eat and I like to eat stuff that upsets my stomach.  You'd think I'd learn but I'll endure it so I can keep eating.  Otherwise, I may not eat and that is just NOT an option right now.  I have someone else to feed!

I still have no major cravings and look forward to actually WANTING things.  Right now I hate deciding on what or where to eat because nothing really ever sounds good, just as long as I eat.  Only rarely do I actually say, yes, I want that.  I have enjoyed my Whatchmacallit's here lately.  Not one a day but I have a couple a week!

Speaking of, guess I'll grab some supper then work on my baby blanket I'm crocheting.  After, that is, The Parent Trap goes off.  It's the original with Hayley Mills.  I LOVED this movie as a child!  Apparently as an adult too!

I also need to get an e-mail out to an old friend named Becca.  :o)
I apparently have some explaining to do!

And, for your viewing pleasure..........

Pregnancy Blog

This is strictly a blog regarding pregnancy woes.........read with caution.  :o)

I never thought I would feel like, when exiting a bathroom, there should be streamers, confetti, people cheering for me and high-fiving me.  It's like a damn monument should be erected all because you finally could "go"!!  Sad, yes, that some of the most exciting moments of the day (or WEEK) are actually "going".  Oh, but it is exciting!

That, and all the other movement going on.  Baby Boy Winsett has been so active and I even laid in bed last week and watched my belly move.  Unfortunately, daddy wasn't home to see it as he was in Oklahoma getting the house ready.  He'll feel him soon enough.  We've got four more months so there will be PLENTY of time!  He most definitely is going to be a momma's boy because he can be moving away and once daddy does finally get over to me to feel he stops!  That's okay because I thoroughly enjoy his movements.  Even at 5 in the morning!

Yay For Potato Soup!

So, my last post was kind of depressing?  Not depressing I guess.  I really do count myself VERY lucky that I've had such an easy pregnancy.  I had been having a lot of trouble with my stomach and I know potato soup is good for it.
I FINALLY found some at the Dillon's soup and salad bar last week and since then I have not had my indigestion, heartburn, or whatever the heck it is!  The potato soup at Dillon's is very good I might add too.  I'm not big on potato soup but I know when my tummy needs it!
Some days I feel huge, and some days I feel normal.  I know it's just going to keep getting bigger but man!  I already feel slim on room!  I'm sure it doesn't help that this little boy is already bigger than he should be at this point.
I had one of my first really weird dreams last night.  I did actually see the baby and he didn't have bright red hair so that was a plus! LOL
I am on vacation tomorrow (originally planned an OK trip this weekend but that changed).  I am going to KEEP my vacation day and enjoy myself, again.  Saturday I went to Salina and spent, eh hem, WAY to much money.  I was there for four hours.  It WORE me out.  Then today I was at Home Depot, Penney's, and Wal-Mart here in town.  My doggies are barking!!
Tomorrow I will go to Sherwin Williams and pick out paint colors for all rooms.  Exciting!!!
I'm planning on some relaxing but also some more cleaning out and throwing away.  The trash runs again Tuesday so I can pile it on again!
Looking forward to this vacation day tomorrow then the never-ending vacation days ahead!  Woo Hoo!!!
Oh, been a while since I posted a pic of us, so here's one of Rusty and I the morning of our ultrasound.  We were both ready a little early (can you say anxious?) so we snagged a pic of "mommy and daddy".

Is This The First Trimester?

I swear, you would think I was in the first trimester!  I felt better for my first than I have my second but I honestly think stress and sickness has played a part.  Nope, not vomiting (skipped that all together, yay!) but a virus for two weeks.  I didn't sleep well through all that and then indigestion, heartburn, gas (????) has plagued me lately.  Tonight is the best my stomach has felt in a while so I'm hopeful for a good  nights sleep!  I wonder if all the mexican, italian, and so forth would have something to do with it?  :o)
Regardless, the sleepless nights and  upset stomach have been worth it.  Nothing I haven't been able to handle and I know I have several years of sleepless nights ahead of me!
Once I posted my weight gain it went down by about a pound but I think it's bouncing back up.  Being sick sure didn't help with the appetite so I'm glad to be over that.  This little man needs nutrition!
Baby Winsett had a clean bill of health following the ultrasound and his heart rate was back up to 150 at our appointment on Monday.  I think he had been a little sluggish due to my being sick for two weeks.  Poor little guy.  If he felt a third as bad as I did, he felt bad!
Glad to be on the mend.  Now for motivation to start going through the house and throwing stuff away!
Gotta get rid of the old to make room for all the new coming into our lives!!!  And, to have less to drag with us!

It's A....................

Baby Winsett is measuring (still) one week ahead of schedule.  Today the measurement was 21 Weeks and 2 Days instead of my 20 Weeks and 2 Days we have calculated.  Baby weighs around 14 ounces and all measurements were great. I can't wait until my doctors appointment next week to get the final report that all was well.  I look HUGE in my picture!!!  I was just letting it all hang out and living in the moment.  I absolutely LOVE that picture of my belly!!

Today has been exhausting, but extremely exciting and overwhelming.  I was shocked this morning even though it was what I had suspected all along.  I think just the reality of it all is trying to sink in.  Either way, I am so excited.  Even more so that I will be staying home with this baby beginning June 1st.  We have been so blessed with the opportunities given to us this year.  More to come on that later.  All I know is this.  All of our dreams are coming true, one by one.  Blessing after blessing.

Oh boy, oh boy!  We can't wait to meet you!
