A Weekend Full of Fun For Us

I took the above picture this last weekend as we were driving down the country road. I did a little editing of it. I love to take pictures...especially of wildlife and flowers. Sometimes, however, when you are driving 45-60 mph down a country road it is hard to get those shots that pass you by! I always miss some good ones!

Rusty and I got our 200th geo-cache this weekend. Not bad since we just started on November 1, 2008. It was on Saturday and we had great weather for it. That's us above with our third team member and the cache.

This is at Cheyenne Bottoms, a nature preserve near Hoisington. These were pelicans that were eating. They took off in flight and landed again in the middle. It was beautiful!

Miss Marley Sue...she is a geo-cacher by heart. She is such a free spirit! She loves to just get out and roam around looking for caches! And, yes, it is ritual that we stop and get a drink at McDonalds before we leave!

Rusty in one of the many beautiful wheat fields we saw.

Look how tall this wheat was!! LOL

Another pic that I liked.

"OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CUTER THAN THEY APPEAR" (I stole that from Rusty!)
There's Marley waiting for daddy. I was too scared of the surroundings at this one. Can you say "Tick City"? It was going to be our 200th if he found it and I'm glad he didn't! He said it was just too thick of a wooded area in there. You can actually see him to the right in the pic.

This is the full blown picture of us with our 200th! It was such a beautiful setting.

Sunday was a Meet and Greet for Geocachers of our area. It was small but is was a lot of fun! There were 20 new caches placed and we found 10 with 6 of those being "First to Finds"! We had such a great weekend and the weather was so nice. Weekends like that are the best. Of course, I am stuck doing laundry tonight since we spent the whole weekend geo-caching but I spent it with the ones I love and that's what matters most!
