Maggie Mae is Sick!

My poor little neighbor dog is sick! She has the poopers and it's been going around the dog community lately. I give her a treat maybe once a day and I hope that doesn't have anything to do with it! No more treats from Miss Tara for a while! Poor Maggie!

Today satellite was okay. It was a nice slower day. Now next trip to Beloit is gonna be crazy............over scheduled on surgeries because of the holiday months ahead. Ugh.

I had a nice easy evening so far. I should be getting stuff ready for my party tomorrow night but there's not much to do for it.

I don't have much else! I am a little sore from Zumba and wish I could go tomorrow night too!

Zuuuuuumba!

Folks, I got my booty kicked tonight. It was by a little thing called Zumba.

So, I love to dance and this Zumba thing sounded interesting. I didn't have anyone to go with me and all through the day I kept finding reasons not to go. I sucked it up and went by myself anyway! I am SO out of shape. I sweated my heart out and I am sure my face was beet red! The class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays which is kind of a downer because for the next few weeks I can't go both nights. This Thursday I have a party (yay!), next Thursday we will be on our way to Pennsylvania, the following Tuesday we will be on our way back from Pennsylvania and that Thursday I have another party (yay!). I know you are supposed to keep at it and not take a break from exercising right away. Maybe I will try and do some things here at home. It is so hard though. I have NO willpower. Hello, I am the person that had to use medication to quit smoking and the person that is still unwilling to give up Dr. Pepper because "I already gave up something huge"! Uh, that was almost two years ago. Time to give up another I suppose.

I forgot to mention the events of last Friday. Rusty and I both got off of work early so we headed to Oktoberfest and he enjoyed a beer and we both enjoyed a brat. Add to that a funnel cake! We met up with our neighbors, Jill and Mike, and had a GREAT visit. Storms started to move in so we ran to get a movie from the video store. Then Rusty had another surprise for me..............he stopped at the theater and went in and got me butter popcorn. Did you read that?? HE WENT IN AND GOT IT FOR ME!!!!!!!!!! I started thinking.........ok, what the hell did you do? This is HUGE. He was gone the night before in Kansas City and I thought, ut oh! Don't get me wrong, my hubby is great but he has flat out refused at times to do the whole popcorn thing so when he just CHOSE to do it I was shocked. And, it was the best popcorn I've had in a long time! ;oD

That's it! Satellite tomorrow..............ugh. Rest of the week is gonna be bleh I imagine.

Man Do I Feel Accomplished!

Whoa people! Watch out, I'm on a roll!! I got soooo much done this weekend. First, let me go through my list of things that I was looking forward to.

My jewelry was here on my porch last Thursday afternoon. Love it all!
Scentsy came in Friday but I hope to get it tomorrow.
I closed my PQ party with over $1000 in sales! Way to go Aubrey!
Nothing showed up on my schedule for the weekend except for Oktoberfest and a parade.
Friday was pretty much a half day...no one else cares if we're busy, so why should I? I know....
Didn't wash my car with some rainy days we had. I did get the inside cleaned out.
Got my hair appointment and got my hair colored!
And, yes, the Serenity Plush sheets were heavenly....as always!

And, here in pictures (and some words) are a few things that went on these past few weeks!

Becca and Eli came by one evening to visit. I think Eli always has fun when he comes here!

Little Miss Marley licking some banana pudding off of the beaters!! I made it for our "One Year In Hays" celebration that we spent with just a few very close friends. Mainly those that are a daily fixture in our lives...and not just for work, etc.

My babies.....LOOOOOOOOVE THEM!

We babysat Miss Lucky Lou one weekend when Renee and Rick went to KC for the game. She wants a North Woods blanket momma!!

Bubba in the middle of a wreath I was getting ready to work on. He did stop and make time to smell the (fake) flowers.

Here's what the wreath ended up looking like.

Here's the hair! Straight and then curly. I definitely like the curly best I think. I need to take another picture as the colors are even more prominent now! Red, brown and blonde. I love it!

We got out and did some geocaching after the Fort Hays homecoming parade. The parade was great until an elderly woman passed out across from us. Luckily it was towards the end of the parade. It was awfully warm out! After geocaching we came home and I started on my cabinets in my bathroom.

Me being naughty and defacing my car tag. I thought it would be funny to do this! Would be even better if it were a KU tag but I sure as heck won't own any of those! Neither school should be proud with the way they acted this last week.

We are still enjoying our "theater room". I took one without flash and one with. Below is what the paint looks like that we got from dad. We really like the color!

Can't wait to start using the fireplace!! Thought it was getting close but it got stinkin' HOT today!!

Here's my latest..............I got the bathroom cabinets painted. Rusty helped a little with the knobs and hanging two of the doors. This paint is also from dad. I have A LOT of the cream color so I imagine that will be the wall colors.

This is the tissue box and glass jars I decorated also. I don't know what my deal is but I am feeling awful crafty lately!

I finished up my cabinets today, did laundry, cleaned the WHOLE litter box, painted the car tag, made Rusty cheese dip, finished up the wreath I decorated, caught up on e-mails (except for Tammy!!).

Right now I am on my Private Quarters call. I am so excited for October....I have four parties!!!! Now I need some people who want to make some extra money to sign on under me. So easy and you only do as much as you want averaging $100 an hour. That's pretty freaking cool.

All Better

Ok, I am finished with my little bit of frustration I had today. Just gotta remember my vows! lol

I went to my hair gal today and got my hair colored. It's a couple of different colors now. :o)
I'll post some pics later. Right now I'm tired and ready for bed!

I am happy to report also that Aubrey's party brought in over $1000 retail so far! Yay for Aubrey! The more we sell the more you get in rewards!

Just A Note

After I have tried to be nice and speak to someone on SEVERAL occassions there is no reason to still treat me as though I am being mean/bitchy/rude to someone. I just refuse to be ignored again....SEVERAL times. Friends are separate from business.

Maybe Not Boo Monday

Wow, today was nice! We were super busy but it made the day go by quick I guess?? I don't know. It was just a good day. Weird...........but I won't question it!

Didn't get to wash my car today. I spent too much time chatting with Jami! Still no orders in from Premier or Scentsy but that just leaves me with stuff to continue to be excited about. Sales on my last party are up to over $750! Yippee!

Well, I think I'm ready to "hit the sack"!

Yay Weekend, Boo Monday!

I had a wonderful weekend. As always, didn't get near as much done as I hoped but who cares, right? As long as you enjoy your weekend that's what matters most. I started changing out some things in the kitchen with the gift card I got from dad and Les for my birthday. I am going to love my new colors but it does look a little Christmas-y. I think painting the walls and then the cabinets will make it better. I also want to get my cabinets in the bathroom painted. That shouldn't be too big of a project since it is just lowers and I can take the doors outside and paint them.

A few things I am excited about................

Getting my Premier Jewelry that I got for free by having a party!
Getting my Scentsy order from Lisa.
My PQ party that I did Saturday with almost $700 in merchandise sold as of the party.
Not a damn thing on my schedule this weekend.
Half day Friday.....maybe.
Washing my car. Yep, I'm a freak.
Scheduling a hair appointment for some possibly drastic changes.
Sleeping on my Serenity Plush sheets again tonight.....freshly washed thanks to the hubby!

Rusty just pointed out that half of these are about spending money. That sucks. That means 1/3 or them won't get done! LOL Oh wait, I have already paid for everything but my car to be washed and my hair appointment! So, nanny nanny boo boo Rusty! AND the hair appointment is kind of at his suggestion so that one doesn't count on MY spending! ha

Tomorrow is going to be C-R-A-Z-Y at work. Sixty plus patients and three techs with two doctors in. (Note to self: I vowed to only worry about myself with regards to work. Must remember my vow tomorrow and do my job and let others do theirs whether done correctly and most efficiently or not.)

Welp, that's it for me. Gonna try and get to bed. This Sunday night football throws me off and keeps me up too late. Cowboys/Giants game has been a pretty good one. Maybe I'll turn it on in the bedroom. :oP

Love Me Some Momma Time!

I GOT TO SEE MY MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom, Daryl, and his daughter (Vicki) came up Friday afternoon and stayed the night with us before they headed to Nebraska for a get together. We were scheduled to go also but I had a party that I scheduled and it was a mid afternoon party so we couldn't make it. We got to spend Friday evening with mom and them and it was great. I miss my mom. Many times when we go to Oklahoma to visit they don't even get to see us. And that SUCKS. They are only about 30 minutes from where we stay but there are just so many different places to be and with a weekend trip it is nearly impossible. Folks, divorce is horrible. Don't do that to your children. When they get older they have to run here, run there, try to see everyone so no one gets their feelings hurt. IT IS HORRIBLE. Visits home are more stress than fun it seems. Don't get married if you aren't in it for the long haul.........especially if you are going to involve kids!

Back to the good stuff. I got to see my mom!!! LOL I love her and miss her sooooo much. I have hopes that her and Daryl will retire here in Hays soon. Especially if we ever have children. That may be what it takes. I'm game. :oD

Sinus Pressure, Back Pain and a Headache....Oh My!

I am sleepy. I think I'll go to bed here in a minute. Rusty painted the den today and it looks great. Unfortunately it was the paint I wanted to use for my bathroom cabinets. Oh well. I have another can that I can use that is a lighter color.

My mom is coming tomorrow with her husband and my step sister. I am soooo excited. I wish I could have taken off early tomorrow instead of today since they will be here around 3:00 and I have to work until 5:00.

Ick, don't feel good. Going to bed.

Not Much

Well, I haven't blogged much lately because there hasn't been much going on AND I AM SOOOO EXCITED ABOUT THAT!!!!

We have gone so much lately that I am so glad to have the time home now. I have been working on my Private Quarters and I still have a long way to go. I have several parties next month so I am hoping it will definitely start to pick up. I just have to get the word out and that's hard when I don't get out much myself! If I do it's out of town or to geo-cache.

That's about it. I am just tired and had a long day at satellite. Tomorrow will be a rough one also but there's nothing we can do about it. It's been nice around there lately so I don't mind!

Here's to NOT HAVING TO GO ANYWHERE THIS WEEKEND!!!!

Finally

Finally, a weekend at home.........nowhere to go, nothing major to do. What a nice weekend!

Friday night we drove around and visited friends and came home and enjoyed a DVD on the "big screen" (projector). Saturday we got up when we wanted to (yay!) which was 10 for me. Then I realized I better book it and get to Jami's bridal shower. That was a great time. Came home, relaxed a bit and then got ready to celebrate our first year in Hays with a cookout. We had a great time with great friends and played some games. We also got Casey to sing on Rock Band which totally shocked me! Rick and Renee stayed the latest and I definitely miss hanging with them as much as we used to! Life has been so busy lately we are just thankful to have all these great friends in such a great place. I get reconnected with more of them every week that we are here. Plus, we make great new friends too!

Today is Sunday, which means FOOTBALL!!!! For me, that means I get to work on what I want or just sit here and relax. I know what I SHOULD do but I have been doing what I should for the last two months. I'm ready for some relaxation....uh, I mean FOOTBALL!

A Whole Year

Today has been a 365 days since we moved to Hays. Need I say more? Yeah, today is a great day!
Here's those pics I promised! Not as many as I'd like but it takes a while to upload!

Just found our 300th geocache. It was a tough climb!

Rusty at Goose Lake in New Mexico. Awesome view.

Also, the Jeep pic again! I love this! Definitely want one!!

Used the fire pit each night. Now I know I will use mine after two years of not doing so! Geesh!

On our way to the top of Capulin National Volcano. It was pretty awesome!

The Winsett boys and their girls! And the awesome Eli!

Me and cousin Kate. LOVE her!!! Trying out the head massager and scarves I sell!

Winsett ladies with Eli........Tara, Charlotte, Kate, Jeannie, and Dawn. And I'm NOT pregnant. lol

Winsett men.......Rob, Randy, Eli, Rusty and Gene

And Rusty with his mother, Eli, and Randy. First time they have all been together in about 8 years. Great day I am sure!

So many more but you can only put so many pictures before other people get sick of seeing them!

Thoughts For The Day

Just because they make it in your size doesn't mean you should wear it.

Babies really are gifts from God but that doesn't mean you have to make them LOOK like a present.

I vow to only worry about myself at work, but when my work is effected by others who do I worry about?

Friends come in all shapes, sizes, and personalities.

Life is what YOU make of it, no one else.

Never judge someone based on their appearance or material possessions.

You are a speck of dust in this universe so control that ego. We all get out of hand on occasion.

The honeymoon is over only when YOU let it be. Don't envy others, rekindle your own.

Are you ready for some football??

Ciao!

Whoa! Long Time!

So, this is still going to be short even though I need to do a lot of catching up!

On the 27th of August Rusty and I went to Oklahoma to see Randy, Dawn, Eli, Uncle Rob, Charlotte, Kate, Gene, Jeannie, Dad and Les. Ugh..............that was a lot of running around and trying to please, which seemed impossible. Anyway, we also held the Fantasy Football Draft that weekend. We had a great time seeing Eli and he is getting so big! I can't believe it! He is such a great baby. Only cried twice that I know of and that was in 4 days that we were there! He went to the pool house a little too early each night for Rusty and I (8:45), especially since we have no idea when we will get to see him again. I know Rusty loved having him sleep on his chest in the recliner! I have some great pictures to post and I can't believe the look on Rusty's face as he held Eli. So, so happy to be there with him.

Dad and Les had a cake for me and I spent Friday night with them. We never stay there when we go down and I am sure they would love for us to. I didn't like not being with my husband but you do what you gotta do. We probably won't be making it back down for a long time so we tried to get good visiting in! I took lots of cute pics of Eli and lots of Winsett Family pics. I will do a post of just pics later this week.

Today we are celebrating our seventh anniversary. I wasn't planning on doing anything for our anniversary since we purchased a home this summer but a great deal came up. I planned it all and Rusty had no idea where we were going. We went to Red River, New Mexico and it is beautiful! Another surprise was that we met our good friends from Oklahoma there (Allen and Tammy)! We had so much fun and thanks to them we got to rent a house for $50 bucks a night!! We also rented a Jeep for the day and went "jeeping". Allen made that word up for us.
We had such a good time and enjoyed using the fire pit on the front balcony and roasting marshmallows. *Note to self: start using your damn fire pit you have had for two years!! Rusty was so surprised when the people we were meeting with to pay for the house and get the key were Allen and Tammy. I can't believe I pulled it all off. On the trip we also found our 300th geo-cache!! It was a great one that was difficult and I am happy to report that I am the one who found it. We just started geo-caching last November so 300 in less than a year is awesome! Allen and Tammy also enjoyed finding a couple in New Mexico. Rusty and I hit three different states in one weekend......Kansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Could have done four since we went through Colorado but were just ready to get home. If we were really anal about it we could have gotten five states and ran into Texas too! LOL
Here's a pic near where our 300th geo-cache was located. You can't tell but this was a heckuva hike up there!

Regardless, we are home and glad to be. I will post more pictures later!

Here's to great friends, great vacations, and seven years of great, great marriage! It is so nice to have been married for that long already and to feel like our lives together have just truly begun.
