So, the title............
Relief: My last day at my previous employer was Friday. Reactions were as expected on the most part. Some day they'll get it, then again, some never change. We had a potluck that day and I overate big time. Seriously, I was miserable. After work I met a few co-workers at Jalisco's and we had margarita's and then our men joined us for supper.
Heartburn: I knew not to order but Rusty wanted me to so I did. I didn't eat much of it. We then went and played some pool at The Stadium Club. What a change they have made since we went in 2008! It's pretty nice....and smoke free to boot! I had already taken an antacid but that didn't help. It was about 1:30 when I finally got up to take another one and that was only after being in bed for about 2 hours. I was so MISERABLE! I finally fell asleep for a little bit around 4:00 then went to bed at 5:30 only to get back up at 7:30. Overeating, Margarita's, and Mexican do not go well together!
Relief: Around 9:00 it started to subside and I slept ALL day on the couch. It felt sooooo good. Let me just say, LESSON LEARNED! lol Moderation, moderation, moderation. The good thing......my weight is still where it was.
I have been much the procrastinator lately. I am proud to report I haven't practiced violin since Thursday. Not proud so much, just glad I was ABLE to not pick it up. I need to do some heavy duty studying today for my classes on the 8th. I start my new job tomorrow and I am so excited as they offer, and require, what I look for and NEED in a job.
1. Strong work ethic
2. Responsibility
3. Reliability
4. Supervision
5. Professionalism
6. Efficiency
7. Benefits
8. Excellent compensation plan
9. Professional Environment
10. Did I mention work ethic???? Reliability???? Dependability????
I think most people think I left my current job due to salary. That couldn't be furthest from the truth. The pay is just icing on the cake. I prefer to work somewhere that when a co-worker decides to call in, leave early, or just flat out not do their job MY work is NOT effected. If Jo Blo decides not to be responsible and work as expected..........not going to effect me. And, if Jo Blo does pull that crap all the time...........it won't be tolerated. And not just for certain people. For EVERYONE regardless of your friendships and status with others. My kind of place. Sorry, just something I feel very strongly about hence, the change!
Here are a few pictures from the previous week.
This is Sadie Long-legs (as a friend calls her) and I watching TV. This was AFTER I got a massage from my hubby, and a head massage also! It was so awesome. Thanks babe! Um, when are ya gonna do it again? :-D
Here is the ceiling fan we bought with the gift card we got from Gene and Jeannie for Christmas. We love our new fan and it looks SO much better than the ghetto one we had that was missing the center globe. Now if only we would have known we'd need a new vacuum cleaner the very next day after we put this up. Oh well.
That's it for now folks! Gonna go dry my hair and try to get a little motivated!
P.S. I am so gonna miss my friend Becca.

Not Much Here
See Becca, even when I don't have ANYTHING to blog about I am doing so. :op
Today the weather got really cold again. I am happy that I am not further south in my native Oklahoma......my hometown has lots of people without power. Even if we were without power here I wouldn't mind too much because we have a fireplace and plenty of wood thanks to Gene! Thank you Gene!
Tomorrow is my last day at my current job. Bittersweet, but mostly bitter?? LOL There are several reasons I am looking forward to a switch. More to come on that later.......
I am super sad that my best friend Becca won't be able to work my last day with me. She is out on maternity leave. Even my great friend Wanda won't be there but she is at least coming for lunch! Awesome thing is that we will still be great friends........it's not like I'm moving!
Ok, I'm gonna get to bed. Gotta get up early and go pick up Daylight Donuts for the office tomorrow! Took over a year, but I CAN be nice. Ha Ha

Here We Go Again
So, here we are again. My lovely sister in law from Vegas finally blogged FOR ME!! That means I need to keep up with mine. Plus, Becca said so!
I have two more days at my current place of employment. I do have to say I am getting kind of excited and extremely lazy with it. At least I didn't "quit" when I turned in my notice. I have seen some quit putting forth effort just because they weren't going to be there in the future and this was several weeks BEFORE they actually left! I believe in working until the very end, but we'll have to see how these last two days go! LOL The words "piss on it" come to mind! ha ha
Sadie is sitting next to me grumbling and moaning. She is so tired and I am keeping her up! LOL Rusty and I had our "family meeting" tonight to discuss her being in our household. His only worry is that the people who brought her to us would prefer to have her back and they just aren't telling us. That leaves me torn. I would rather have her be with them if that's what they want but I have already started getting attached to her and I really think she is getting attached to me! That's my dilemma. Anywho.
I am tired and just want to go to bed. That will be AFTER we see if little miss Sadie can take care of some business OUTSIDE preferably! G'night!

Two for Two!
I am going to try and get back into my blogging. Not sure how long it will last but I am sure I will have lots to blog about soon!!!
This little shit is FULL of energy! Not me, Sadie! She loves to run around with a toy and squeak it. Marley has even began to kind of play with her. Her and Bubba LOVE to chase each other around the yard. Big ole circles!
I had my third violin lesson today. Rusty had gotten me one for Christmas a few years ago, at my request, but I never knew where to get lessons. I was also always afraid they would be too expensive. The high school here in Hays has always had an orchestra program so I knew I wanted to get a hold of them but was still afraid of the price. The orchestra teacher came into my current place of employment and thanks to a co-worker I got signed on. She actually had an opening too! I can now play certain songs like Mary Had A Little Lamb, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Old McDonald and some others. I can actually read the music too. She is impressed with how far I have come in three weeks. Oh, I can also play Jingle Bells! My main goal is to play Amazing Grace. I will have to download the sheet music to it.
My next thing is studying for my license course I will start on the 8th.
Thirdly is exercising.
So, can you guess in which order I prefer to do these things? Probably so. I come home and want to do NOTHING but play violin. Here it is almost 10:00 and I am going to go practice a few songs before bed.
So, that's it for now! Time to go fight the long legged creature for space in bed! And, again, I mean Sadie!!!

Well, this blog is going to be completely out of order but hey....it's a blog.
Apparently this is my Christmas blog too? I don't remember. Anyway, it's backwards so here goes.
Rusty and I at Becca's with Geralyn. I sure am enjoying seeing them every chance I get!!
Now, the following pictures have a LONG story that goes with them but we will skip it. Let's just say I am not too thrilled but it is what it is. This is Sadie, formerly known as Suki. She was hand delivered to our door, not by our wishes. Anywho, she is a 7 month old Italian Greyhound. She is pretty skittish but is coming around. She definitely loves playing with Keiko and she is not quite sure what to do with those long legs of hers. She is definitely not the type of cuddly, furry dog I am used to. In fact, she looked quite alien like at first.
Here's a cute close-up.
Sadie using those long legs of hers.
Jen came to visit and we enjoyed our favorite Chinese together again! Georgia and Kendall joined us but they aren't my children to post pictures of so I'll leave that one off!
We had a heavy, heavy frost on the morning of the 12th. The ONLY reason I remember the date is because it is the day that both Rusty and I took off work and spent gas money to drive to Wichita for my appointment with my neurosurgeon and they had changed my appointment and did not CALL me! I was so mad I cried!!!! Luckily I didn't do the alternative that I grew up to learn which was make a complete ass out of myself by yelling and causing a scene. I at least waited until I was out of the building before the tears of anger came. Anyway, here's a pic of Rusty and the frost. Well, actually, he was dropping some travel bugs on the way down and I had him pose.
Another picture. This does not do it justice.
The fog was so thick you were able to look at the sun at some points. I love when I can do that. Beats getting out the solar shades!
This was Christmas Eve at moms in Moore. The snow drift in front of their door was taller than me! That is me holding my hood up over my head. They got almost 14 inches of snow.
Here's Rusty chillin' at moms with Mister and Marley. We sure do miss him!
This is Mister and I right before his owner's boyfriend picked him up. That's all I'm gonna say about that.
He's a good little guy and I'm glad he got to spend Christmas with people who LOVE dogs!

Just a Little Diddy
I know I still need to upload pics from Christmas and do that whole blog, but I'm going to put it off a little longer.
Here lately..................
We returned Mister to his owners and I am still struggling with that. Especially when the lady at the shelter wonders if she "did the right thing by calling them". HER words people. Great. We got really attached to him as you will see in the pictures I post from Christmas. Rusty even offered to go the local shelter here in town and adopt if I really wanted to. Very, very sweet of him.
Several months back I posted a blog about being deserving of things. How some who don't want get, some who don't need get, those who are really selfish and conceited about it get, and those who really want can't get. Well, I am happy to report that my friend "S" is due in May!! So, so, so happy for her! And you think it's all about me. ;o)
Rusty and I had a great New Years. We went to eat Chinese, went to Wal-Mart for some much needed staple items, and then home to play games and watch TV. We had sparkling grape juice at midnight and then at 12:05 we finally went to bed! Yep, party animals we are.
That's about the extent of it, in a nutshell that is. Of course there is the whole blizzard in Oklahoma and Christmas to post about but I'm going to let it wait. I really do have things to take care of around the house...............if I'll just get up and do them. Later.
