It has been really difficult to blog lately. I use my Droid to do everything.....facebook, e-mail, read Becca and Jen's blog, see who stalks mine. I'd read Aubrey and Dawn's more often but, eh hem, no blogging has been going on!
I love my new phone/computer. It keeps me connected but on the down side, it doesn't help me keep in touch! So easy to read yet so hard to respond. I'll get better.
Until later....this is it! Gonna go practice the violin!

Proof!
So, um, my toenails got painted.............Thanks babe!
My flowers are opening up beautifully (thanks again baby!) and the ones outside are doing well too.
You also get a little sneak peek at the house changes we made.
Marley and Keiko sure have it rough. They are so worn out from sleeping all day this is what we do when we get home.
Not much else. Nice relaxing evening at home. Waiting for more storms and rain to arrive. Here is a picture of some clouds that I liked last night.

Another Productive Weekend
I started off my weekend great by getting flowers at work on Friday. I had a pretty rough Thursday evening and my hubby thought I deserved a smile so he sent me my favorite flowers.......oriental lilies. Aren't they beautiful?
And the smell filled up the whole area downstairs at the office. All the gals enjoyed them.
Here's a beautiful picture that Rusty took of a rainbow. He was gonna show it to me and I was in the shower so he took a pic instead.
Bubba constantly wants to go out front if we are out there since he had his spraying episode out there last time. Here's a pic of him talking to daddy. There's also an innocent pic of Mar Bear.
Here's another pic of Keiko that seriously made me LOL. He looked like Linus with his elbows on the wall talking to Charlie Brown. I have never seen a cat propped on his elbows!
Friday evening was nice and relaxing. I don't really even remember what we did. I know we went to Sonic. :o)
Saturday we didn't plan on diving into a project again but we did. We did landscaping and planting in the front which took about 6 hours. We had such a sharp cornered area that was landscaped and I hated it. We took all that out and separated the two areas by putting a ring around the tree and a small ring around the mailbox. Now we just have to wait for the grass to spread over the dirt where there was previously rock! I'll post pics soon. I promise!
Saturday evening was just watching TV and in bed by 11:00. It was so hot and it wore us out working outside all day. Rusty sat up our little pool again and it was cold! Hoping to maybe lay out in it tomorrow. I went and got a small floaty today!
Today, Sunday, I finished up my main part of the mailbox I really really wanted lilies at the house. Well, now I have them. And they are oriental lilies! They also smell soooo good. I also planted something else there but don't remember what it is. Now for the grass to grow. The only major thing I have left to do is paint the storm door white instead of black. I wanted to do this today but Rusty was DONE. I needed him to take it off for me but he had had it with the heat. He mowed and stuff this morning so it is understandable. Maybe tomorrow??
So, he said he'd paint my toe nails for me. Let's see if that will happen.
Hope your weekend was as great as mine!

Seriously....
I have a blog I was planning to write this evening but I let time get away from me so the serious blog is going to have to wait.
I went to Becca's shortly after supper to do some playing and talking. Had a good time and I don't know how she does it with 3 kids!! I can't imagine one, let alone 3. Kudos to you girl! Next time it needs to be all about YOU!
Came home and did some chatting with my mom. Took Mrs. Marley for a walk and used my jog tracker on my Droid. It is pretty cool. You can choose walking, jogging, etc. and it tracks your times and progress. Luckily it has a pause button for when Marley needs to stop and sniff!
Took a shower after that then practiced my violin. I am getting to harder things but it is nice to go back to the earlier things and play them the way they are supposed to be played. When it says allegro I can actually play it allegro! For having no musical background other than 4th grade music where we mostly sang, it has been amazing. I can read music now and also play as I read it. It's not easy as I get to the harder sections but I am almost finished with the first book after 5 months that takes her younger students a full year (and they've learned how to read music). I am loving it. A big thank you to my baby for buying me the violin. Here pretty soon I have a feeling I'm going to be asking for an upgrade! Start saving now!

Oh Goodness Daddy!
Title means nothing! Just what came out of my mouth before I started typing.
I have never in my life seen a cat "spray". Didn't know anything about it. I have always just told Rusty how good of a cat we had since he never peed in the house, sprayed or tore anything up when he had claws. The other day he got out front while we were painting/hanging shutters so I left him for a bit. I look over at him by the bushes and Keiko's little tail was waiving like a flag and he was dancing his back feet. Then, all the sudden I noticed the straight flow of liquid coming from his rear end. Oddest thing I have ever seen! Glad he enjoyed his little jaunt outside!
I still haven't completed my painting project. I finished the shed out back last night, which royally sucked trying to get to the bottom of one side over a rack of firewood. Today I went out front and painted the edging of the windows that we didn't put shutters back up on. I can't wait to get new light fixtures and a white storm door. We had one that we bought to put on the rental we lived in because the one on there broke from the wind and every time it rained water came in on the new laminate flooring. It is like this ONE and has the retractable insect screen that retracts into the door frame for easy storage. Only problem for us is that it opens on the right and we need one to open on the left. Ticks me off we paid $230 for it and only got to use it for a bit. I am going to try and sell it on Nextech. If you are interested let me know! So, anywho, painting is still on my list. Here's a pic of our door we are selling.
I doubt I will get much painting done tomorrow because my new phone is supposed to be here! I have waited for three months to get a new cell phone and believe it or not I got the Droid for $19.99 on line. We kept reading and reading for catches but there weren't any. It amazes me how the actual Verizon store charges $399 for it and then $199 after mail in rebate. Even when you go on their website if you purchase it through there it is cheaper. Wal-Mart will actually have them for $49.00 starting the 13th for one week only. Luckily our contract was coming up so I just got on my own account and got such great deals! I still can't believe a Droid for $19.99! Sad, but yes I am excited to play with my new phone and all it does. Please UPS man don't disappoint me!
What else...not much! We are looking forward to a nice weekend at home. Yes, I will need to paint but that's ok. I don't mind once I get out there. The rain coming and going like it is makes it hard to know if/when I can paint. The Larks are also playing all weekend I believe so I'm sure we'll partake in some of that. I am hoping to head to the pool again. Rusty may go with me this time if Renee is busy. She has a wedding this weekend out of town so we'll see! I think my burn will be mostly heeled by then. If not, I may just have to skip it this weekend.
My plants I bought and planted are growing beautifully. I was a little worried about them surviving. Here's a pic.
No pics of the house yet until I get a little more accomplished. Don't know why since it will be an ongoing process as we save a little here and spend a little there. I just want it to be done I guess!
Lastly, here's one of me at work. I actually liked my hair today so thought I better get a pic while I could. It's still not great but I am a woman who will NEVER be satisfied with how I look so it really doesn't matter!

Summa!
I feel like summer is really here. Probably due to the sunburn I currently have!
I feel like I have had a great weekend. I think today made it great!
Friday was Relay for Life and I walked my booty off. There were times that no one from our team was there and I didn't feel right not walking. I walked for a total of at least 4 or 5 hours. I didn't get home until 12:45 so it was 1:45 before I made it to bed. I was exhausted. This led to Saturday pretty much being a bust. Rusty and I went and got our shutters and more paint for the house. It took forever to paint the shutters so that is about all I got painted.
We got up this morning and got the shutters hung and they look great. A rain storm was headed our way so that ended any chance of me painting today but even worse I had plans to go to the pool! Renee and I went and had lunch and then came back to the house. The skies cleared and these two chickies headed to the pool. I had a blast. That is the first time I have been to our water park and it was great. The lazy river was pretty darn nice too. I am a lobster now though. I didn't have a base tan yet and we were out there for several hours. Hoping it goes to a tan like it normally does. Ya gotta start somewhere!
After the pool Rusty, Renee, Rick and I went to the Larks game and it was packed. I love a nice day for baseball and it was gorgeous! It is still kind of weird to go places and not see people you know. I did see two people that I work with now but that was about it. Nice in a way! After the first game we headed to Taco Shop for some good food.
I had an awesome weekend. I am a little disappointed that I didn't get the east side of the house painted but it will happen. Tomorrow is supposed to be around 100 then in the 80's on Tuesday so it may have to wait!
