We have six more days until our ultrasound. Something that seemed like it would never get here is almost here! I remember thinking January 19th wouldn't get here for our very first appointment and look......it's already over two months later.
Things have been great. This baby is definitely going to be a traveler. We have made numerous trips to Salina and several trips to Oklahoma. Seems like we go, go, go so no wonder I'm extra exhausted. I have much more movement and even got Doodlebug to play with me today a little. I'd push on him/her and he/she would push back. I am most definitely looking forward to more of that. I'm still bouncing between a weight gain of 3-5 pounds depending on the day. Not too shabby for almost 20 weeks and my first (only?) pregnancy! I was afraid I'd be one of those that just ballooned up their first time because they ate what they wanted when they wanted with no control. Slight heartburn has been a pain in the butt. I just don't eat the right stuff though. It's nothing like my heartburn I experienced before pregnancy so I'll gladly take it.
I have belly pics but I'm scared to post one. I don't think I should be this big but I can't suck it in anymore and with little weight gain I shouldn't worry but geesh! I was a little bigger to begin with but thankfully I've kept my weight gain at bay. I know the next 20 weeks will be a different story but I have a set amount I'm allowed to gain and I've got to try my hardest to stick to it.
Um.....5 more days now. I had to take a break on the blog. Yesterday I could tell I was getting sick with a stuffy nose/sore throat but last night I ended up with body aches and a worse sore throat. The night was horrible and I woke up with a fever. I cancelled my physical therapy but forged ahead with getting ready for work. I even got my pants ironed and ready to put on and I just had no more energy to give. I decided not to share my sickness and stayed home. I slept in bed until 12:15 then came in and sat in front of the TV for the afternoon and slept off and on. This afternoon I still had a slight temperature and feel like it's coming back now but I do feel better. Not great, but better. My hubby was a trooper when he got home this afternoon and ran and got me some medicine and food.
So, that's all for now. Ready to feel better and get to Monday!!!!!!

*Sigh* (In A Good Way)
I sure hope those reading my blog love me. That way I know you won't get tired of reading about this but I still am in amazement every time I think about the baby. I look at Rusty several times a day and say "I have a baby growing inside of me." It's like I have to tell myself over and over because it is just so unknown and unreal. Um, I saw him/her kicking! How can it be unreal? This experience is something that has been so unbelievable so far and I know it is only going to get even more amazing. I have felt little "pops" but they aren't felt every day. And, no, it's not gas! LOL I know the difference. I am most definitely looking forward to more movement and more definite movements.
We have our crib and glider rocker all set up. Early, maybe, but we don't care! Dad and Les have ordered our changing table as a gift for us and it will be delivered soon. I sit in the glider rocker and fill out my "belly book" and this week will start sitting in there and reading to the baby. Once we find out the sex, we will get to pick out bedding! We have our boy picked out, as well as the name, but the girl is so much harder. I think I am convinced it's a boy and let me tell you...a boy has already been easier! I know little girls are more difficult all the way around already! LOL We can't decide on bedding or names! To me, it seems like all the girl bedding is so "busy". I tend to prefer simple.
So, I've probably already shared more than I'd like but I am just so excited. And no one is going to change that!
Think I'll get off of here and work on my blanket I'm crocheting for the baby. Of course, it's a neutral color but I'll probably add a color specific edging once we find out. We'll see! Oh boy..........or girl!
