20 Weeks

We are both in awe and can hardly believe we are officially 5 months pregnant.  FIVE WHOLE MONTHS!!  We have finally made it.  Every day I feel so blessed that we came by this baby naturally with no outside influence.  It was truly a creation of our own.  No fertility medicine, no interference.  So very thankful and so very proud.  After all the struggle, it is a miracle to me still.

Monday we have our ultrasound and are so very excited not only to see the baby again, but to find out the gender.  We will be so happy regardless but are so anxious to find out if Doodlebug is a boy or girl.  At least if it is a boy we have our name picked out.  We have had a few tossed around for girl for a while but nothing definite.  Rusty has me semi talked into one.

Movement has been so enjoyable, especially this last week.  The baby is most active in the mornings between 8:30 and 10:00 and then at night when I get in bed.  Sometimes Doodlebug is active throughout the day off and on.

I have learned to embrace my growing belly which now holds a uterus the size of a small melon and a baby that measures 10 inches from crown to feet (6 1/2 from crown to rump).  No wonder I can feel those kicks!  I imagine not too long after Monday I will be posting a belly pic.  Finally!

As for upcoming posts, I think I mentioned previously that 2011 was going to be a great year and there was so much in store for us.  I also mentioned it was going to knock our socks off as well as many others.  Well, it wasn't just the baby.  More to come..............

P.S. Only 4.4 pounds gained!  That's a big plus for me.  So hopeful I can keep it under control!
