Farewell Hays

Well, this will be my last post as a resident of Hays, Kansas.  I can't believe how fast the last two months have gone by.  I knew they'd fly but they also seemed to drag as I spent the majority of the two months alone while Rusty worked VERY hard on our home in Oklahoma.  We are so excited to move into his grandmothers house on the farm with 2000 family owned acres surrounding it.  Rusty and his family have worked so hard to make the home fit our needs and the welcoming of a beautiful baby boy in August.  A completely gutted and re-done bathroom, new floors, paint.....the whole nine yards.  I will miss Hays and, honestly, if it weren't for the Stay-At-Home mom perk I'm not sure if we'd be going back.  It has always been Rusty's dream to live on a farm so I'm sure we would have compromised somehow.  I am excited and scared at the same time. I know I am starting the most challenging job I will ever have but I have no doubt it will also be the most rewarding.  I know that there is no way I could do it without the amazing, supportive husband I have.  Even though I will be staying home he's already assured me he will do his duty on nights as well.  I disagree when he has to work the next day and I won't, but he will be the most amazing father and has already proved it.  So proud of him for working so hard on the home of his soon to be pride and joy.

As for the pregnancy, things are moving right along.  I am 28 weeks, into the third trimester, and I am so excited to establish with my new doctor on the 6th.  It is a birthing center and very nice.  Currently, my weight gain is at 13 pounds so as long as I don't balloon out this last trimester I should be right on track for my weight gain goal.  My stress levels have been extremely high and I am not happy about that.  I am trying my hardest to keep that in check.  Baby boy has been a mover and performing those acrobatics for me.  At our last appointment Rusty finally saw him move as well as heard it.  He kicked the monitor as she was getting his heart rate.  This visit we were 140 which is right about where he has been!

I had a small, small shower here in Hays and have yet to get pictures from it so I'll post those soon.  I am not sure on the internet situation yet down there but will have access to reading e-mail, facebook and blog comments, posts, etc.  I just won't be blogging from my phone!  LOL  I could but I guarantee they would be SHORT blogs!  Here lately I haven't been getting on an actual computer much.  Just using my phone.  I have a feeling I won't be focusing much on the social network when we get there either.  I get to FINALLY start working on my nursery!!!  Plus all the other unpacking, then relaxing, then unpacking, then relaxing.  :o)  Spending lots of time with my mother that I wouldn't have gotten previously.  So excited to spend time with her pre-birth rather than just post-birth.

I'm so excited for what is ahead for us.  So many great things are happening in our lives.  I told you 2011 was going to knock our socks off.  Remember??
