Ugh....Where'd The Evening Go

Well, I still haven't done my e-mails I need to catch up on. I have spent the evening getting stuff together for a business call that I am to receive tonight.....or was supposed to! LOL

I did get the wireless printer linked to my new laptop (n
otebook) so that is good.

I am super tired. Satellite wore me out yesterday and I didn't get to sleep until after 11:00 last night....as the nights before. I don't know if I will get to sleep any sooner tonight.

We took Marley in to get her ears cleaned and went ahead and had her teeth cleaned and nails cut. She feels super good!! Here is a pic of her pretty doped up when she got home.
We can rub her ears and everything and she doesn't pull away. She also hasn't scratched at them either! We put it off for way too long!

This is a pic of her in the (CLEAN) sheets before I got them put up!
She is still there right now. Silly girl! We sure do love her though! We know we will be purchasing her a certain type of bed soon too. It's one of those that sinks down like she likes to do in the sheets or on our pillow before we crawl into bed. We always have to claim back our spots!

Well, my tummy is growling. I never ate dinner and it's too late now so I guess I'll get a quick snack. Need to shower but I don't want to miss my call! We'll see.

Bec........how about a little skipping tomorrow, ears and all! LOL

Can You Say................

spoiled??

I sold a big item today and this was something my husband surprised me with. He kept complaining that I should check Bubba's litter box. I went in there and there sat my new mini HP Limited Edition Vivienne Tam Laptop. OMGosh........I so don't deserve everything he does for me!! That's my baby boy.....carrying on the tradition my dad started. I am sure he would LOVE to thank my dad for that.....NOT.

So, I have been too busy getting this set up after walking another 4 miles with Staci!

"Hope Orville Don't Mind If I Touch His Meat"

I'll explain the title in a bit. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Oh yeah, the TIV was in town too! If you haven't seen Storm Chasers on the Discovery Channel check it out!

This weekend was full of excitement. Friday night Rusty and I went to Lake Wilson to stalk out some nice camping spots for our Geocaching trip.

Saturday I went to the mall with Staci and had a good time. She came back to the house and hung out with us for a bit. That evening I met Sharon and Becca at the bowling alley to hang out then we went to Sharon's and played Phase 10. This is Sharon's daughter Jami..........she is crazy! Crazy fun that is.

It was 2:30 in the morning when we quit, and we hadn't had
anyone get past Phase 6. We were all too worn out. Obviously none of us were used to staying up that late!

With the late night it was 10:30 when I crawled out of bed. I had a banana pudding to buy ingredients for and have made by about 11:30! I am happy to say that I got it complete and it turned out just fine! The pudding was for Orville's 60th birthday. That's Leigh Ann's dad.........she's my bestie here in town. I pretty much claim them as family and I think they claim me too. They were all I had at some points when I lived here previously in high school. I love them like family, so I guess they are! Here's my bestie and her family with Grandpa.Staci was packing up some meat for Orville to take home and that is where my title came from. I even told her I was gonna do it! I will have to send her a link to my blog so she can laugh!

Other than that............not much going. Wait..........that was a ton!!! LOL

Tomorrow is going to be a slow........long.......dirty day at work. No doctors are in and from what I gather we are going to be doing some spring cleaning! I'm all for it.

A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

so won't you be mine, won't you be mine.....won't you be...my neighbor!

Today was gorgeous out. Of course, I didn't find out until after work but that is fine. Rusty and I left to try and grab a geocache and found my friend Leigh Ann and her family at the park. We joined them for a bit and visited. I introduced Jett to the swing and I think we both enjoyed it!

I am super worn out for some reason. By the looks of it, Marley Sue is too! I am definitely ready for Friday and it's my afternoon off! I have some things planned that I want to get done so I am looking forward to it!

Ok, I want to get to bed! I'm tired and I want to read!

Rain, Rain, We Hope You Stay!

We have just gotten though a great rainstorm. We were also lucky enough to have some wonderful thunder with it!

I walked over to Leigh Ann's tonight (about a mile) and then we walked a little more. The sky started looking dark so we didn't walk a long time. When Leigh Ann sees me she says it makes her mouth water.....ok, NOT in that way! LOL She thinks of Chinese Food Express because that's my favorite! So, I should have known that is what we would do for supper. Unfortunately, that left Rusty out. Oh, he was invited to come eat with us, but he doesn't like it too much.

While we were finishing up eating (actually half way in between) Rusty called and said he was going to get something to eat and asked if he needed to come get me. I suggested he just eat at Leigh's with us. Then, it started pouring. So, while Rusty was trying to finish up his meal we had to hurry and leave because he left the windows open at the house. He didn't think he was going to be staying and eating at Leigh's (that's my fault). So, not only did I ruin his supper plans I feel like I also ruined his supper!!

For some reason I feel like I haven't done anything right for the last couple of days. Maybe it's the funk I felt coming on. It gets better, then comes back. I'm a freaking roller coaster! I'm getting used to it though....only been that way for, oh, my whole life!!! Ha

I Owe Dawn An E-Mail

so this may not be long..................LOL.

Today was a nice easy day at work. Tomorrow will be a nice slow day also with just our contact lens doctor in so I am going to take my laptop to work on some things for the office. We only have two front desk computers and one computer at a techs desk. I don't feel it appropriate to take the front desk computers (they have a job to do) and the other one, well, isn't that accessible. So, I will use my own.

We took Marley for a nice walk after Rusty had cut her hair. She looks nice. Now we are just sitting, relaxing with some baseball on the tube. Love summer with some baseball! Can't wait to go to some games. Already went to one Hays High game, but it was a little cool and cloudy so it wasn't all that much fun! Funny to see Coach Leo still there!

Well, I owe Dawn an e-mail. Randy just informed Rusty of that while on the phone!

Here's to tomorrow and a great day at work!

Nada

I honestly don't have much to discuss right now. Today was Monday and it went well. Things continue to move right along even if not as they should. Why would you need to look at what the doctor's schedule is gonna be like before you decide the tech's duties for the next day?? Exactly.

Either way....doing/worrying about MY work and that's it.

Glad to have Becca back at work! Hope she cheers up soon and remembers that she has people around her that care!

I feel like a mini manicure......see ya!

Another One Bites The Dust

Another weekend that is. Rusty took it easy on me this weekend. We watched a movie on Friday night.........Lakeview Terrace. It was "ok". It was a little after midnight when we went to bed. The next morning I was rolling around trying to decide to get out of bed when Rusty came in to get me up because it was "1:00 in the afternoon!". I said "no it's not!". Um, folks, it was! I slept really, really good though! LOL

We didn't know what to do but we knew that storms were in order for the day so we decided against geocaching. I actually had my boots on and ready until I saw Rusty had on his "nice" tennis shoes. We decided we would head to Salina and see what all it was about. We had only ever gone to certain parts for certain things. Well, you aren't missing much. Stick to those certain areas and certain things! LOL After returning home we watched "21" which was "ok" too.

Today was a lazy day with laundry being the main focus. We watched "What Dreams May Come" that we had DVR'd. It was windy, but nice, so we took Marley to some empty soccer fields near Frontier Park to just run around. She really enjoyed it and we did too!

That's about it folks. I am ready for bed.....but not for another work week. We'll see if things remain to calm down. They seem to have started to.

Sunday Already

So here it is Sunday already and I haven't done a darn thing this weekend. Oh, wait, I didn't have to!! That is one reason to love the job I have right now....there is no work at home! Love it! I may miss some of the days off, but really I wouldn't have anything to do since all my friends work also! Plus, I get EVERY weekend completely off! So, I am equally blessed if not more!

;o)

The Racist Farmer

Rusty and I were on the way to Salina today to just get out and about when the following conversation occurred regarding a field with animals in it.

Tara: Are those sheep?!?!?
Rusty: I think they are cows.
Tara: All white cows?!?!?!?
Rusty: Must be a racist farmer.
Tara: *giggles* out loud.

I love my husband and the way we can have all the fun we need with each other.

Be Thankful

Many times we feel that we may have hit rock bottom, that nothing can go worse than it already is, and that the world is out to get us.

You must remember that things could always be worse. If you don't believe it, really think about that phrase....................things could always be worse. When I had my automobile accident and was upset about my injury my mother reminded me that I could still walk. Yes, things could be worse.

I'm thinking of my friend Becca. Her mother is ill, but she still has her mother and it sounds as though she will for a LONG time. Keep your chin up girly!! I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Glad to hear Boppa made it home safely and quickly! We miss you at work!

The Human Mind

Which part of the brain is it that makes us change our minds, doubt our decisions, and second guess our feelings? More so, is it even our brain that makes us do that or is it our emotions from happenings throughout the day that prompts us to think we want to change our mind? Either way, it's our brain.

These past few days have been a roller coaster for my emotions/thoughts/decisions. Just when I think I've done something good, it turns out it may be bad. Then, I find out it was good and now it has become something to be used against me even though it was good! Confused? Yeah, me too. Then, I thought it was worth it but after three days I'm not so sure.

Oh, it will all pass as all things do. Sooner would be better than later......I hate childish bull shit, especially when I am working. People, grow up.

Friday, I welcome you with all my heart.

P.S. Thinking about my friend Becca and her mom.

IntelliGender

So, while looking at the Sunday paper this last weekend I noticed something in the Wal-Greens ad. It was a test to determine whether or not your baby is a boy or a girl. What?? Are you kidding?? I wonder if pretty soon we are going to be able to pee on a stick to tell us if we have cancer or other problems. Wouldn't that be money better spent? Develop a test that we can just piss on a strip to see if we are in danger of dying of something that is treatable and preventable! But no......let's spend money and research time on something that we can already find out by ultrasound or even by, uhhhhh.....BIRTH!!!

I'm hoping Andrea will run out and buy one. I am just curious at the result!

A Beautiful Monday? Is it possible?

Today was a great day at work....other than Becca being gone. We had a pretty busy TLM day lined up with only 3 techs on; one to scribe, and two to check in. With a TLM day 3 seems a little shy of the needed techs but we were superstars when it came to getting it all done....efficiently and to the doc's specifications. Go us!

The gym was graced with my presence once again. I tanned but only walked for 20 minutes. I had a little pain today and still do. I walked as long as I could before the pain started to increase. I will have to get back into working out gradually. I still feel great, with the loss I have had.

On a side note, I really like our Easter picture in the blog below. In case you didn't notice, my rugged man is back to the his clean cut look (and he's loving it!). He cut his hair and shaved his beard, leaving the goatee. So, even though I like the rugged look A LOT, I love him clean cut too! I'll just have to wait for next fall to have the rugged look back. I get to enjoy the best of both worlds!! LOL

I am a little jealous right now since my father-in-law and mother-in-law are with Eli! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I tried to get them to steal him for me! I think they are just going to spoil him silly!

Hoping for a good (non drama) day tomorrow at work. They had the office meeting today..................hopefully it went well and if it didn't we don't get the brunt end of it. It was all proposed as positive improvement. Accepted or not, we don't deserve to be treated differently for doing what we were asked to do.

Happy Easter!!!!

Happy Easter from the mister and I!

Easter Bunny, "Angelled" Eggs, and Banana Pudding

My baby never lets me down. I can always count on him to make me happy. The Easter Bunny brought me the cutest little basket with a little stuffed dog wearing bunny ears next to a box of chocolate covered cherries. Keiko thought the dog was for him. Rusty said he snatched it and ran! Thanks babe! Love ya!

We are going to be going to the Moore's for Easter this evening so I made deviled, uh hum, angelled eggs and banana pudding. From what I gather, John and Curtis fought over the leftover pudding at Thanksgiving. Guess it's a hit there too. I then did some cleaning and then tuckered out. Got most of the laundry done but I'm still working on it!

Hope you all have a great Easter!

Boots, Ernie and The Chase, Wild Peacocks, and An Early Bunny Delivery!

When geo-caching, tennis shoes are what I usually wore. I had looked for a pair of boots before, but didn't find any that would suit the bill. When wearing tennis shoes, you have to focus too much on where you are walking and stepping. You end up with dirt in your shoes and water and so forth. With boots though, you just go through whatever you need to! It was so nice. Of course, I didn't want my nice boots to get dirty because they are so pretty and I don't think I've ever owned a pair of Justin boots! Of course I got over that, there was no way to stay out of the dirt on the geocaches we went on!
Rusty and I have started to collect some "rubber ducks" we find in the geocaches. I was looking at two of them on the dash of the truck and started to remember a distinct memory from my childhood. Long story short, it had to do with Ernie from Sesame Street, an old 45 record, our old console record player, and my mother in the kitchen. I don't have a lot of memories from my childhood that I can recall very easily but this one took me way back and I honestly can say that I have no clue where I was for a period of time while in the truck. Rusty says I was quiet for just a couple of minutes, but it could have been forever and I don't think I would have known the difference. It was definitely a weird feeling. It was almost as if I had actually gone back in time. I will say I kind of enjoyed it. It was one of the happier times I can remember.
Not long ago, Rusty blogged about seeing wild peacocks out in the country. Folks, he was NOT lying or out of his mind! We saw them today! It was so crazy. I vouch for him.....we saw two!
Then......................while we were getting ready to watch a movie Rusty decided that I could go ahead and open my Easter box. So, I got a little early Easter present. Let me just say that my dad and step-mom are gonna make sure I don't lose too much weight! Ha! Lots of loot for Rusty and I and even something for the "grandkids" (Marley and Keiko). Their great!

Gotta get to bed.....Easter Bunny should be coming soon! Just hope he doesn't forget me again! If so, it's all right. I got the Bunny from Oklahoma on my side!

Ask and You Shall Receive.......................

The Truth.

When someone asks me to do something, or gives me the opportunity to do something, I do it. No sugar coating, no make it "sound better than what it is", nothing. If you don't want to know exactly how it is, don't ask. Capice?

Sleep came and went last night. When I take a pain pill, such as an Ultram, it shuts my body down. I get soooo relaxed, but my mind goes about 90 miles a minute. It's horrible. I wonder if that's what it's like to be in a coma or dead in body but not in mind? It's horrible though when you want to sleep. You are so comfortable but can't get your mind to slow down to go to sleep. When the meds finally wore off, it was around 4:00 or so and then I was wide awake! Then, just as I was falling asleep, guess what happened? Yep.............it was time to get up!

I was having a funky day at work so I figured what the hell. I'll take another one and just stay in an "Ultram Stupper" all day! Needless to say I am ready to crash! It was nice to have an easy go lucky attitude today when things were a little "bitchy". I imagine I am ready to crash also because I didn't get any sleep last night.

I think Rusty is bored and I have offered to go do something. The weather is pretty nice right now. We'll see what the weekend holds for us.

Smells of Spring, Late Nights, And Needles! Oh, and The Easter Bunny!

The smell while walking through a freshly stocked "garden center" is heaven to me. I love the smells from the plants, the water running, and the bright colors. This is the coming of Spring! I had planned to blog about this last night after my trip to Wal-Mart but I quickly ran out of time.

Rusty asked if I wanted to run the movies we had rented last weekend back to the store and I opted to ride along, with Mar Sue too. That turned in to a one and a half hour trip. Guess why??? Yep, geocaching. I am glad that we did because my husband found two that had been stumping him! Plus, the buffalo came over to drink from their water while we were at Frontier Park and Marley started growling. They definitely had her attention. *Note: I am kind of out of it right now, please disregard grammatical errors!* We got home from there and I needed to work on some (pointless now) stuff for work. It was then that I spent the rest of my evening on the computer and not for fun reasons! It's okay, I still got my Facebook time in.......just not my blogging.

The Easter Bunny ALWAYS comes, as does Santa. It's just a thing with me. There has only been one year that I think one didn't come....I can't remember. Even in my adult life, I still expect it. Nothing big, they just have to come. I was explaining this to a co-worker yesterday and she thought it was pretty funny. Well, I am a lot farther away from the Easter Bunny and Santa now. It makes me worry a little. When I got home from Wal-Mart yesterday, there was a box for pickup at the post office. I just knew I was gonna get to have an early Easter present! It just had to be the Easter Bunny! And......it was!!! Only bummer deal...............the box says to wait until Easter to open it! Damn, damn, damn! I just know there are some Peeps in there and I wanted some! I'll be a good girl............my husband is making sure. So, the moral of the story...............the Easter Bunny ALWAYS comes!

Today I had my last (of 3) transforaminal lumbar injection at the L2-L3 site. If I have unbearable pain before one year is up, it's off to see the neurosurgeon. If I get it back before after one year, I can do maintenance injections. I felt really great after the injection but starting having some pain around 4:15 or so. I left work around 4:45 and am now sitting on the heating pad. I think it's mostly muscular pain that I am having now.

I always feel that I deserve a little something after partaking in such a procedure so I am allowing myself to have my favorite Chinese tonight. It just so happens that my bestie friend here in Hays, along with her family, are gonna join us! Her and I are due some girl time soon though!

Here's to happy injections.....I hope!

Sleeping Baby Girl

This baby girl was tired after her walk with Aunt Renee and Lucky Lou this afternoon! I, like Becca, had a rough day and I don't have much to blog about. Plus, it is 10:35 and I was ready for bed at 9:00!! Had "business" to take care of and I am glad I got it done. We'll see if I can get the others on board. If not, it's pointless.

Oh, nice..............Marley has decided to "wake up" and start playing with Keiko. After two nights of no sleep......I don't know if I can handle a third! Yeah, I can.......I always do!

I'm A Weener!

Yep, I'm a weener all right....uh, I mean winner! I was just commenting that I never win anything when, lo and behold, I am announced the winner of our NCAA Tournament Bracket at work! That was a bright moment in my further uneventful day.

My next topic..........listening can be very important at times. Especially in a place of employment. It is not beneficial when someone spends every moment in a discussion trying to figure out how they are going to make themselves right or provide a response to try and make their point even better. I'm not saying that I am not also guilty of the same at some point......but when the action is performed every day with every subject discussed, it is a nuisance. People have opinions, feelings, and ideas. They should be heard. Sabotage damn it!! I claim sabotage!! Ha ha ha ha ha

Watching me some Cubbies right now. Glad baseball season has started. Makes it seem like summer should be well on it's way. We are super excited to start going to some Larks games here soon! Ummmm, Rusty just turned on the playstation, so no more Cubbies! Wow how things change so quickly! Ha

As predicted, sleep was off and on last night. I really was okay when I got up though. I am thankful that I will be super tired this evening (am right now) so that I will sleep tonight. I have to go to Smith Center clinic tomorrow and I have to be to work at 6:45 in the morning. My back has increasingly gotten worse since yesterday so I am not looking forward to sitting in the car all that time. I have a feeling the day isn't going to be one of my best, just by today's events. Either way, I'm a big girl and I wear big girl panties...........and not them ones that are mistaken for car covers!

If this is your first time on in a while, don't forget the blogs below. Some GREAT pics of a handsome little guy named Eli are down there. He turned four weeks old yesterday.....he'll be a grown man before we know it! LOL

Good tidings, farewell, goodbye.............for now.

Blog Comments

I recently changed my blog so that anyone could comment. Take warning, any negative or rude comments from anyone listed as "anonymous" (or even those with names) will result in returning to registered bloggers alone being allowed to comment. It occurred to me that I have family reading that may want to comment and I want them to have the opportunity to do so. Plus, if I ever get anyone on here who understands and can relate to the spinal/back issues, it would be a plus to compare notes or just know someone is out there who can truly relate. I know I have family and friends who are sympathetic but they can not begin to understand the pain.

Slept off and on again today too. Not the best idea since it will interrupt sleep tonight, but I enjoy it! Now I will take my lazy ass to bed and hope for some sleep! And maybe, just maybe, Bubba won't wake us up around 5:00 in the morning with his beautiful meowing! Yeah, Rusty loves him when he does it. Can you sense the sarcasm in that last statement??

No News Here

Kind of nice to sit at home this weekend. Not that I wouldn't love to spend it with Eli, my family, or friends but after a couple of weekends of not much home time......I was due!

Rusty and I watched a movie last night, Bedtime Stories, and it was pretty darn cute. I suggest it! I stayed in bed until 12:00..........I know, I know. I only do it because I can. I am sure there will come a day that I won't be able to do that so I am taking advantage of it now! Today the weather was gorgeous outside. I believe the high was in the 70's however, Rusty played playstation and I napped on the couch all day! What a waste! Again, if I can get away with it, why not? I then got up to take Marley on her promised walk and then the cold front started to move in. The temp. dropped like crazy! Marley Sue got her bath tonight, via momma, and then we watched another movie.....Seven Pounds. It was pretty good too. I think it was a little too predictable, but still good. I am beginning to become a pretty good fan of Will Smith. Not only can he act, he has a helluva body! ;o)

Oh! I don't think I blogged about the last weigh in for Pound Plunge! I am happy to report that I stayed under 160! They now have a maintenance competition and I hope I am not disqualified from it since our partners quit weighing in. Hopefully not! I think it will be alot easier to go work out since there is no pressure. Either way, we got a really good scale for here at home to help us stay on track.

I am happy to report that I will have my third and final transforaminal injection this week. I have done fairly well with the last one but have noticed at times throughout the day I get the pain in sharp, stabbing sensations that last no more than a second. Just enough to take me to the ground if I happened to be standing. Thankfully I haven't been at the time! Let's hope that the third time is the charm! My grandmother had 3 epidural injections (different from mine) in her neck and she said that she didn't think they were working until the third one so I am still holding out! I am sure it will take a month or two to find out if my pain will come back. I know that just shy of two months since my last injection was enough for the pain to come back in almost full force. Enough about that!

I think I am gonna let this do. Not much else going on. Ready to go to bed but not that tired since I napped all day! I think I'll grab a magazine and chill for a bit!

Peace out!

Is 6:15 Too Early for Bed?

I owe my readers a blog with lots of pics I imagine! We are just now starting to feel a little caught up from our weekend in Vegas. I am still tired and just thankful that it is Friday.

We had a great time and I am slowly getting over my Eli withdrawals. It was absolutely horrible! Of course I still miss him and would give just about anything to have him here with me, but we know that can't happen.
