Boots, Ernie and The Chase, Wild Peacocks, and An Early Bunny Delivery!

When geo-caching, tennis shoes are what I usually wore. I had looked for a pair of boots before, but didn't find any that would suit the bill. When wearing tennis shoes, you have to focus too much on where you are walking and stepping. You end up with dirt in your shoes and water and so forth. With boots though, you just go through whatever you need to! It was so nice. Of course, I didn't want my nice boots to get dirty because they are so pretty and I don't think I've ever owned a pair of Justin boots! Of course I got over that, there was no way to stay out of the dirt on the geocaches we went on!
Rusty and I have started to collect some "rubber ducks" we find in the geocaches. I was looking at two of them on the dash of the truck and started to remember a distinct memory from my childhood. Long story short, it had to do with Ernie from Sesame Street, an old 45 record, our old console record player, and my mother in the kitchen. I don't have a lot of memories from my childhood that I can recall very easily but this one took me way back and I honestly can say that I have no clue where I was for a period of time while in the truck. Rusty says I was quiet for just a couple of minutes, but it could have been forever and I don't think I would have known the difference. It was definitely a weird feeling. It was almost as if I had actually gone back in time. I will say I kind of enjoyed it. It was one of the happier times I can remember.
Not long ago, Rusty blogged about seeing wild peacocks out in the country. Folks, he was NOT lying or out of his mind! We saw them today! It was so crazy. I vouch for him.....we saw two!
Then......................while we were getting ready to watch a movie Rusty decided that I could go ahead and open my Easter box. So, I got a little early Easter present. Let me just say that my dad and step-mom are gonna make sure I don't lose too much weight! Ha! Lots of loot for Rusty and I and even something for the "grandkids" (Marley and Keiko). Their great!

Gotta get to bed.....Easter Bunny should be coming soon! Just hope he doesn't forget me again! If so, it's all right. I got the Bunny from Oklahoma on my side!
